Atlantic City, NJ Indian Wedding by Art Group Photography

As Dhara and Nikhil's gorgeous wedding day transitioned to night, the One Atlantic was transformed with rich blue hues reminiscent of the Atlantic Ocean itself. Twinkling lights sparkled brilliantly from the lanterns and candles suspended over the dance floor. Bridal Arts & Events, who planned and designed the event, and Nirali Decor, who executed the floral and decor, created a stunning, rustic-inspired sweetheart table with arched branches and blue and champagne flowers. The elated newlyweds made their grand entrance to music by DJ Shilpa, which made their guests go wild. After music and entertainment, guests feasted on a delectable Indian meal catered by Chand Palace, and were awestruck by the magnificent, cerulean cake by One Atlantic Events that served as the perfect centerpiece for the reception festivities. Guests danced the night away under twinkling candlelight and fresh uplighting by Spellcaster Productions while overlooking the majestic Atlantic Ocean, resulting in the perfect celebration to begin Dhara and Nikhil's exciting journey as husband and wife. For more details from the ceremony and reception, please read a description of the day below provided by One Atlantic, as well as checking out the complete gallery of photos captured by Art Group!

Description of the Day from One Atlantic Events:

Months of planning, countless meetings, hours finalizing the smallest details and flood warnings from a torrential downpour only hours before the ceremony finally gives way to a breezy cool wedding day over the Atlantic Ocean. The bride walks into One Atlantic with her mom in tow both grateful that the rain has stopped. As she enters the venue, she takes a glance at the ballroom where her wedding mandap is already set up. It looks like something out of a dream, white against the breaking dawn. It not only takes her breath away and threatens to bring her to tears, it slows down time to allow her to realize that today was the day she is going to be married. Gripping her mom's hand with misty eyes they walk to the bridal room to get dressed.

Before she knows it she is dressed, morning pictures with her handsome groom have occurred and the baraat has arrived on the One Atlantic floor. She dances out the small jitters in the bridal room to the dhol and DJ as they welcome all the guests. Her uncles are then before her to escort her down the aisle to the mandap. Traditionally, the uncle carries the bride down. So in true style, the uncles, both who tower over 6 feet 5 inches tall, make a square seat by interlocking their arms and carry their niece, all of 5 feet 2 inches, down the aisle. As she enters the room, she hears a silence and all the emotions of the moment hit her all at once. Her eyes begin to tear and she grips onto her uncles, not for fear of falling off but for emotional support. Placed before the mandap, she climbs the few steps of the mandap and reaches out her hand for her mom for support and strength. When the white cloth drops her world is at peace again, before her is her anchor and soon to be husband. It is at that moment, surrounded by love and support, that she entered into wedded bliss.

As the day turns into night, her elegant dream like wedding turns into a magical night. Above the ocean, One Atlantic is transformed. Deep blues of the night dance with champagne lights from lanterns and candles around the rooms. Tea lights are suspended from the ceiling over the dance floor and a sweetheart table is set up on a small stage with arched branches adorned with blue and champagne toned flowers. The bride dances into the room with her groom and at once transported into a night filled with stars. The twinkling of candle light, the rhythm of music and the excitement of celebration embraces her as she dances the night away into her new magical forever.

Sounds like a dream come true! We'll be back tomorrow Maharanis!

Atlantic City, NJ Indian Wedding by Art Group Photography

Hours before Dhara and Nikhil's ceremony was to start, torrential rainfall began and a flash flood warning for Atlantic City was released. However, not even a severe weather warning could dampen Dhara and Nikhil's excitement on their big day. By the time Maharani Dhara entered the One Atlantic Events space to prepare for the ceremony, the rain had stopped and bight sunshine glowed beautifully behind her airy mandap and venue decor designed by Bridal Arts & Events and Nirali Decor. As the bride carefully readied herself in her sari and jewels, the baraat was in full swing, with DJ Shilpa and AC Boardwalk Rolling Chair whipping the groom and the rest of the crowd into a frenzy. All the energetic moments of the weekend were captured by Art Group Photography, with catering by Chand Palace. As is tradition in her family, Dhara was accompanied down the aisle by her (extremely tall - over 6' 5") uncles, and once the couple was reunited under their mandap, they felt at total peace. We're thrilled for this darling twosome - Please join us later today for more from their chic reception. In the meantime, check out the complete gallery below!

Charlottesville, VA Fusion Indian Wedding by Keith Cephus Photography

Happy Wednesday lovelies! Today’s installment of wedding love comes from Virginia and is a fusion of Western traditions meet Bollywood. As a fellow wine aficionado, this vineyard inspired wedding captured my little rustic heart. The hidden gem of a venue, Keswick Vineyards, is one of the dearest outdoor venues to date! Nestled in a valley of rolling farmland surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, it is no wonder that Maharani Suparna and her new beau Matthew, picked the perfect location to hold their fusion wedding. Our Maharani channeled her inner Princess Jasmine in a turquoise and gold trimmed lengha with a gorgeous matching dupatta. The couple wed at the spacious Edgewood Estate with the vast greens of the vineyard for an impressive backdrop. The wedding events couldn’t have been put together more perfectly and in-house wedding planner Angelica Laws designed a dream wedding any romantic (or wine lover) can appreciate. Equally as important is capturing the wedding day in all of its glory and the talented Keith Cephus Photography was there every step of the way! Wander into the gallery for a rustic, romantic wedding you won’t soon forget!

Cambridge MD, Indian Wedding by Regeti's Photography

When a reception looks as awe-inspiring as this one, we are hard pressed to find words that can do justice! Garima and Nirnimesh clearly have a penchant for all things sophisticated, and you could tell that Blondell’s Accents on Events and Sheila Smith Floral Designs were a dream team. They took our breaths away with the stunning towering vintage tablescapes that featured candelabras, lavender stems, and a ton of crystal elements. The glint in the gazillion crystal pieces and candles were enhanced by the soft lavender lighting and elegant drapery. You’d think that with all this overwhelming decor, there couldn’t possibly be anything else to look at, but the show truly belonged to the newly weds! Garima looked pretty as a picture in a pink and mint lehenga set, topped off with an orange organza dupatta. Nirnimeshmade for a spiffy groom in a three-piece suit paired with an elegant black bow tie. DJs from District Remix made sure the wedding party had a total ball at this swanky reception at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay! Regeti's Photography and Editing Life Videography created stunning visuals with their creativity and talent. Check out all the splendor from this wedding by heading to the gallery!
