Bella Collina, FL Indian Wedding by BnB Photography

Welcome back, ladies! Are you ready to be amazed once again by Pamela & Falgoon's love story? I bet you do! We will admire all the glow and glamour displayed at their wedding reception. So follow me to the fantastic The Club at Bella Collina, where this magnificent event took place. And again, this phenomenal venue left a lasting impression on our lovebird's guests thanks to the fabulous decoration touches and details that Liz Decorations added to the hall! The reception stage left everyone speechless, the geometrical shapes combined with majestic ornaments and flowers provided a magical view. Everything was perfectly organized by Preeti Exclusive. Our lovebirds stated: "We just didn't find a wedding planner but a friend." How great is that? The highlight moment of the night was the bride's solo dance; this was an emotive and enchanting moment with mixed feelings that allowed our bride to flaunt her dreamy glowing lehenga! Such beauty! There's no doubt that this was an epic night, and Dudha Productions made it even better with their Bollywood sounds that made all enjoyed the dance floor. If you want to relive this moment, visit today's gallery, thanks to the fantastic talent from BnB Photography. You will love it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Falgoon and I met on DilMil! My assistant Dipali made my account and was swiping away. Of course we came across Falgoon profile picture with him wearing a Power Ranger shirt with a double rainbow and I couldn't resist myself and swiped right.
Falgoon planned this epic first date. The only down fall was he was in Tampa and I lived in Orlando so it was a drive for me plus I had to figure out how to tell my mom I was driving 2 hours to meet someone I met off an app. Eventually my mom caved and agreed to cover for me however I got cold feet and ended up 4 hours late. Falgoon had to rearrange our plans and the date didn't start off well. However after an hour together things started to flow. At the end of our first date I knew he was the one.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Falgoon being Gujarati and me being Guyanese, his parents at first were not a fan of the idea of us being together. We spent a year fighting all the obstacles sent our way and proving that we would fight for our love at no means; merging our cultures, beliefs and becoming one. We promised each other we wouldn’t give up on each other, and we never did. I would always compare our love story to a Bollywood movie which I would make Falgoon watch a lot of. We had our flights book to NYC, for my aunt’s baby shower, little did I know Falgoon had his plans. On October 20th,2018, Falgoon made a spa appointment for me to get my hair and nails done. He told me we were going to have a nice dinner and a stroll through the park so we could get a skyline picture. Once we both were dressed, we headed out. We had some appetizers and then Falgoon insisted on walk through Gantry Park during sunset. Little did I know, this was the moment. With the thought of my love for Bollywood, Falgoon incorporated a song from every Bollywood movie we watched into his proposal. Each spot had one of his cousins and best friends with a rose and a picture of us. At each stop they asked me “Will you accept this rose?” At the very end, we ended up at the skyline, stepped into a rose petal shaped heart with candles. Falgoon of course wrote a beautiful speech, we giggle at moments thinking back to the ups and downs for the fight of love and then asked me to be his wife. We ended the night with dinner at Tony's Di Napoli in Manhattan and dancing at Magic Hour and Moxy.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
- Wedding Planner, Decorator
We originally thought we could handle planning the wedding all by ourself.  We finally decided a few months in that we needed a wedding planner and we contacted Preeti from PreetiExclusive Events and she was a lifesaver. She made wedding planner fun, kept us on track and help us balance out our vision. Falgoon loved the bigger and better while I wanted a more simple, elegant look. With Preeti's help, we found Liz who capture both our visions for decor. Falgoon wanted the lotus shaped mandap and Liz bought it to life while keeping in mind my simple and elegant vision. We just didn't find a wedding planner but a friend.

- Hair & Makeup
My make up, hair and mehndi was all done by Salma and her team from Hennaallure. I used Salma for our engagement puja and she was amazing. So when time came for my wedding look, I knew Salma was the way to go. She kept me calm during my getting ready time, shared advise and was a joy to be around.

- BnB Photography & Digital Dreams Studio
Words can not explain how amazing Amar is. His pictures are a work of art. Amar first did our engagement shoot and once we saw the pictures, it looked like we belonged in a magazine. During the wedding, Amar and his team capture everything so beautifully. Ashok and Amar work great together. They feed off each other while capturing some amazing moments. We are super excited to see our wedding video that Ashok and his team capture during our wedding.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
- Ceremony
My wedding lengha was selected because of the horses. My grandfather passed away 3.5 years before my wedding and he was my world. He was my biggest dance fan and favorite person. Growing up, the Derby and horse racing was a huge part of my life. Derby day was a holiday for us.  So when I laid eyes on the lengha on an IG post, I know I had to have it. My in laws went to India for wedding shopping and during their time there, my sister in law found the same exact outfit I showed her a picture of. It was just as perfect as I could remember. As I walked down the aisle, a piece of my grandfather walked down with me.

- Sajda by Suman
My reception outfit was bought in New Jersey from Sajda by Suman. I was turned between a traditional white dress or during a traditional Indian look. When I told Nishi my thoughts, she walked into the back and bought out a lengha which I fell in love with it.

- Reception
My in laws searched for a reception outfit in India for me but there was no luck. I wanted an outfit that would make my future husband light up but make my parent happy too. I was torn between a traditional white dress like my mother wore for her wedding or a lengha. We knew my future husband would be wearing a James Bond inspired look in memory of his Dada so I needed something perfect to go with it. My reception outfit was bought in New Jersey from Sajda by Suman. When we first went to Sajda, I looked through their showroom and couldn't find anything that i loved. Nishi asked me what i was looking for. When I told Nishi my thoughts, she walked into the back and bought out a lengha which I fell in love with it.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our first look. I wanted the first time Falgoon and I saw each other as groom and bride to be inmate so we sneak and did a first look. I remember having the same butterflies, I had the first time I saw Falgoon standing there.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
- Bridesmaids' Dance
My bridesmaid are my soca sisters. You put on some chutney or soca music and they get down. However a choreographed bollywood dance is not their thing. So 20 minutes before the reception, they learned their dance and did a great job. Of course they had to dance Woh Mere Jijaji to welcome their new Jiji into the family.

- Patel's Cousin Dance
Falgoon's cousins wedding dance performances are always amazing. They take the time to choreograph them, stay up late and practicing. So when they put on a musical skit on how Falgoon and I met, it was the most beautiful thing I have seen.

- Bride's Solo
During my dance during my reception, I made sure each song had a meaning to our love story. As a little girl I dance around the house with my grandfather to Dafli Wale. My grandfather use to tell me, love is like the beat of a drum, once you find it, you dance without thinking. Of course I wanted the most perfect dance so I asked Dipali from dpaulymoves to help me choreographed it. During my dance, the moment my eyes met Falgoon's, I forgot everything and danced to my own drum. So once Dafli Wale Dafli Baja started, I dance the same steps I dance around the house with my grandfather for my husband. It was the most priceless and sentimental thing I could think to do to show my love. Of course my husband would be bhangra dancer, so I had to pull out a few bhangra steps while dancing towards him to Nikle Curran; pulling him up to open the dance floor.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
You will always received advise and suggestions; don't feel obligated to take it if it doesn't make you happy.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Mehndi-Make it your own!
In my mehndi I included a few things to describe Falgoon before he could find his name
Lexus symbol- Falgoon love his Lexi.
Taco Bell symbol- the first time I ever ate TB was with Falgoon. After the first time, I fell in love with TB.
007- Falgoon is a huge James bond fan
Ganesha Bhagwan- Ganesha Bhagwan has guided us through our love story. He removed all our obstacles and gave us the strength to continue our journey

I have wonderful day loves! See you tomorrow.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Zach and I met when we were both working in DC.  On our first date, I was sitting inside at the bar and, like a gentleman, Zach was waiting outside for me!  I almost left, thankful to be going back home to get in my pajamas and lay on the couch.  But, we finally connected and ended up having a great time!  After the date, I joke that I thought Zach was "just okay."  But, on our next date, Zach took me to a Tiki Bar and that's what sealed the deal for me.  It took a couple more dates for Zach to finally work up the courage to kiss me and the rest is history!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Zach and I had just moved to California and he had been dying to go wine tasting in Napa.  He planned a whole day of tastings and tours.  For many men, that would be a dead giveaway, but Zach can be a great planner when it comes to social activities, so I didn't think twice.  On the morning that we were leaving for Napa, something hit me that maybe it was going to be the day, but Zach was wearing pants and a t-shirt and I didn't see anywhere he could have been hiding a ring box so I put the thought out of my mind!  At the last second, right before we got in the car, Zach decided he wanted to go back inside and get a vest just in case it was cold.  Lo and behold, that was where he was hiding the ring but I didn't notice because I had already forgotten about it at that point!

When we got to the second winery, we were a little early for our tasting time, so I asked Zach to walk into the vineyard with me so we could take a nice picture.  Little did I know, I was setting him up perfectly for his proposal!  He took the opportunity to get on his knee and I was so happy that I don't even remember a word that he said!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Between Zach and I, we have 2 full-time jobs and at least 3 part-time jobs so planning a wedding was a challenge.  We leaned a lot on the help of our friends and family, especially my parents.  We found all of our vendors through a combination of recommendations from friends and internet searching.  Pinterest was a great way to communicate with vendors about what we were looking for.  We also used a lot of spreadsheets!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I love forest green and forever had that in mind for the color of my dress.  After going to a few stores, I just wasn't finding the green that I wanted, it's not very common for Indian bridal lehengas.  I went back home and scoured the internet and found the perfect dress from a designer in India but had no idea how to get it.  Somehow, Zach was able to find a retailer just a few miles from our house!  They were awesome and helped get me the dress of my dreams for the wedding and a perfectly coordinated outfit for Zach.

We also had a Western ceremony where I wore a white bridal dress.  The ceremony was meant to be small so I wanted something simple but, when I went to try on dresses with some of my friends, I fell in love with a beautiful ball gown!  I considered looking for a different dress that was more casual but decided to stick with the one I loved and I'm so happy that I did!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
It was fun for Zach and I to find creative ways of blending our cultures to create a wedding that was perfect for both of us and for our friends and family.  It felt really special to be able to honor both of our backgrounds and learn more about each other in the process.

I enjoyed putting little touches on everything because that's where I felt like the wedding truly became unique to us.  Zach also really loves music and had a great time picking out songs and working closely with our amazing DJ to create a dynamic and fun party.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?.

Many of our guests said they appreciated all of the little details and felt that everything was very thought-out, which it was!  Some things that seemed small - creative cocktail names and garnishes, personalized napkins, programs and decor that matched our outfits, sunglasses for guests in the baraat, personalized coozies for cocktail hour - turned out to be really meaningful for our guests.  Our venue was also amazing and a destination in itself.  The beauty of the place was truly special and we were thankful to share that with our guests.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I was walked down the aisle by 10 of my male cousins.  Some of them I grew up with and some of them I was meeting for the first or second time and that was what made it so special.  Whether we are near or far, family is family and we can always be there for each other.  It was a reminder for me that, as much as the day was about Zach and me, it was also about honoring the village that raised us.

Zach's favorite memory was when we did our first look before our second ceremony.  It was the late afternoon and we had already done a whole whirlwind ceremony in the morning so we were both exhausted.  But having that moment alone was magical and gave us the energy to enjoy the rest of the day!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
To pick our specialty cocktails, we had a cocktail tasting night where we whipped up several different recipes and we all voted on our favorites.  It turned out to be a blast!

One of my favorite decor elements of the whole weekend was this beautiful bike that our decorator had that she covered in gorgeous florals.  She placed it against a tree that was also dripping with flower garlands and it turned into the perfect backdrop for photos.

For the baraat, we handed out colored smoke bombs and the whole place turned into a color explosion.  It was awesome and the guests loved it!  Our photographer also got some great footage from above the baraat with a drone.  We also got some still pictures with the smoke bombs that turned out to be really dramatic.

For the sangeet, my parents and some of the other aunties and uncles did a great dance medley.  They practiced a lot and it really showed.  It was a hit!  My sister and friends also choreographed big group dances which was a great way for people, even those who aren't comfortable dancing, to get on the stage!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Getting your family and friends involved in certain aspects of the wedding is a great way to make them feel included and they'll make it really special for you.  Don't feel bad asking for help - they want to do it!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We had an amazing group of vendors that took care of us and we can't thank them enough!

I hope to see you again tomorrow, have a great day.
