Happy Tuesday Maharanis, today is the last day of November, and we should celebrate it with a new romantic love story. Suganthinie & Jayant hosted a gorgeous event at The Tides Estate. One of the best places you could choose to celebrate a big day like your wedding. Trust me! You cannot go wrong with a venue like this. They offer you spacious, tastefully decorated banquet rooms which can accommodate events of any size. Isn't that amazing? Along with the elegant venue choice, this lovely couple wanted to create unbelievable decor to make a nostalgic memory. That is why they call the professional team Blooming Brides. Maharanis, this talented team put together the perfect flowery ambiance that made every guest feel like they were in a dream. Our Suganthinie & Jayant were all about pampering their guests. That is why the musical talent of Gemini DJ and DJ Milan was the way to go! This duo knew how to make everyone dance! It was spectacular! I know they all had a blast! My dears, I think it is time to mention how beautiful and elegant our Maharani looked. Color Me Rouge did a splendid makeup and hair job to highlight Suganthinie's natural beauty. And not only that, but Color Me Rouge also did the most dedicated Mehndi art, worth a standing ovation! The lovely bride wore exclusive designs by Nazraana NJ and Maharani Fashions; she looked like the Maharani she is. New Jersey Videography captured jaw-dropping shots, thanks to which we get to relive the happiness reflected on this couple's face during their big day. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Suganthinie and Jayant met in 2019 during the late spring in West Hartford, Connecticut. Suganthinie had just moved to the United States and started her residency training at Connecticut Children's while Jayant was almost finished with his second year of residency at Yale. Jayant was living in New Haven at the time and drove up to West Hartford which is about 40 minutes away. He had just come from a wedding the previous day and had no idea what was to happen. He ended up waiting 45 minutes before Suganthinie, who had been having doubts about meeting up, finally showed up. They had dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar before finally leaving in his car. On subsequent dates, Suganthinie was never late again. As the months passed by, the pair grew closer and closer with each one going to Hartford or New Haven whenever possible. They would lean on each other whenever things were difficult especially when the pandemic started. When the pandemic started, there were a lot of changes that occurred in each other's work schedule. The net result ended up them spending more and more time together. Every moment with him felt so easy and natural. We both feel so lucky that we were able to find our soulmates.

When the pandemic started, there were a lot of changes that occurred in each other's work schedule. The net result ended up them spending more and more time together. They had a week off in during which they would go on several day trips where they would hike. One such hike happened at Bear Mountain in southern New York state. Upon reaching Bear Mountain, Suganthinie said to Jayant that it would be really nice if he would propose in Aspen, Colorado. With his usual calm demeanor, Jayant simply said that it certainly would be nice. Suganthinie wanted to pick an interesting hike which ended up being quite challenging. Although the hike required climbing steep slopes requiring built in chains in order to hike, the view at the top was simply stunning. It was a fantastic view of the Hudson River and New York city skyline at midday with clear skies and perfect weather. There was a bench close to the cliff that Jayant was waiting to be free, but there were several bicyclists occupying it. When they finally left, they sat on the bench and ate sandwiches that Suganthinie had prepared. After they finished eating, Jayant casually turned to Suganthinie and popped the question. Jayant asked Suganthinie to marry him to which she said yes... And so here we are together today!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our wedding would not have been possible without our family and close friends from all over the world. We decided to get married in Jersey as Jay is from there. Once we were able to find our dream wedding venue for the ceremony and reception, we sat down and made a detailed to-do-list. Fast forward a year, a few hundred international phone calls, zoom meetings and emails, we were able to find our awesome vendors through the help of Knot and word-of-mouth recommendations.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My Mom and my sister traversed many shops all over London and found beautiful saris in London for my ceremony. I'm so grateful to Casipillai Designer Collections and Venisons, london. My family here were also super helpful and we went to Eddison multiple times to find my reception outfit. I was able to find my wow dress there at Maharani Fashions.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
It gave us an opportunity to work closely with my partner and our families.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We had so much positive feedback about so many different aspects of our wedding and they were so glad that the pandemic didn't stop them from attending our wedding.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The first look at the Mandap will always be special for me! And, our first dance at our reception at our beautiful venue.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Celebrate every win as a couple—no matter how big or small! Inspire each other to be better daily. Always make time for each other.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I would like to make a few special mentions to my wonderful stylist Meghna Parikh, Mike Stroganoff (banquet manager), Joann Montague from Blooming Brides, Steven Powell from Fred Astaire Studios, DJ Milan as well as ZM Gajra Re.

They were a fantastic team and really went out of their way to help make our day possible. Meghna went out of her way to make my vision come true in terms of my make-up and hair. I will always be grateful for her getting me food in the middle of my photo shoot at my reception. The flowers were stunning and we had such fantastic reviews from our guests! Mike from the Tides went out of his way to cater to all our needs and really pulled out a stellar night. And of course, DJ Milan along with Alberto made sure that the event ran smoothly. We are so blessed to have found our dream team!

This highly talented team delivered nothing but perfection in the form of soft-colored floral arrangements, which mirrored the beauty of our lovely couple. Good morning, Maharanis! I hope you are ready to dive into a real-life fairytale because Karla & Umesh's fusion wedding celebration will brighten your day and will melt your heart with tenderness and joy. So, get ready to have a blast! We love seeing Indian fusion weddings as they are a cornucopia of beauty, elegance, colorful decors, and above all, because we get to see how two different backgrounds become one through love. So, you can imagine how happy we were when we laid our eyes on the marvelous shots captured by MnM Photography, as every single shot was a perfect ode to extravaganza and traditional flair! But such a level of perfection and beauty is no casualty. Karla & Umesh had a fantastic lineup of wedding vendors working tirelessly to design their dream wedding. SB Events Co worked their magic orchestrating this event to perfection and found the best ally in Events by Faiza. Together, they crafted spectacular backdrops for the different ceremonies and wedding events hosted at the Omni Hotel Downtown Dallas. Although we've talked about all the beauty, amazingness, and elegance surrounding the two wedding ceremonies, we haven't forgotten about the star of the day: our gorgeous Karla! She nailed the ultimate bridal look thanks to MS Painted Lady and Sheetal's Henna Designs, who made her look like a goddess throughout the entire festivities. After the two wedding ceremonies, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with an elegant reception party enlivened by DJ Riz Entertainment. Hands down, this was a night to remember, and we are so glad to have this spectacular gallery to enjoy all the amazingness surrounding this grand event. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Umesh had just moved to Phoenix after completing his residency and was starting his Geriatric Fellowship. I was working in Urogynecology at the time, and he so happened to have one of his rotations in the clinic I was working. Our paths crossed in the operating room during a patient case, and I am so grateful for that. I never thought I would recognize when someone was 'the one.' People always told me I would 'know' when someone was the right one for me, but I could never quite conceptualize that until I met Umesh. I knew he was the one for multiple reasons. Our values aligned; family has always been very important to both of us. We have always had healthy conflicts; he is always receptive to feedback and also respects boundaries. He has always been so open and honest; he lets me vent. He encourages me to make time for the aspects of my life outside of our relationship that also make me happy. He has helped my relationships with family and friends flourish and become even better and more stable. He has always felt like home; he sparked a light in a time of darkness for me. He has helped me see what it means to feel secure emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Umesh proposed on his birthday weekend. We had a group of friends join us at an Airbnb in Flagstaff as we had plans to go skiing/snowboarding. The morning of, a spontaneous hike was scheduled with the entire group. Everyone knew I was not keen on hiking but was agreeable as this is something Umesh wanted to do on his birthday weekend. The weather outside was perfect, and the scenery was beautiful. As we got 15 minutes into the hike, I started seeing rose petals on the ground and increasing by number. I automatically thought we would ruin someone else's surprise, so I turned around to try and push everyone in the opposite direction, but they kept moving me forward. Next thing you know, I turn around, and Umesh is down on one knee asking me to marry him.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We knew we needed a wedding planner since we were getting married in Dallas, TX, and we live in Phoenix, AZ. We found Samiya with SB Events Co. and could not be more grateful to her and her team. She made the planning process very stress-free. She understood our vision and guided and directed us towards vendors that would make our dream wedding come to life. We got married at Omni Dallas Hotel. We had multiple ceremonies throughout the weekend, and Samiya worked side by side with their events coordinator to ensure things ran smoothly. Ms. Painted Lady (Alex) did my hair and make-up for the Hindu ceremony, western ceremony, and reception. The remainder of her team made sure the bridesmaids looked flawless. My Sangeet lehenga was from Chamee and Palak, Bombay, India. Their customer service was amazing! And the quality of the lehenga was stunning! It fit me perfectly. My Reception lehenga was from Studio D Dallas, Divya. My wedding planner had provided me with this vendor's information. She was so amazing throughout the process. And she was very accommodating, considering I could only fly to Dallas for fittings twice due to the pandemic. The lehenga was an absolute show stopper! My western ceremony dress was from Mariee Bridal in Scottsdale, AZ. The staff was accommodating and organized. We used DJ Riz for entertainment/DJ. He brought the excitement, especially during the Baraat, to hype up the crowd. He played a good blend of Bollywood and Latin hits along with top 40, which made the Sangeet and Reception fun-filled events. Our wedding theme was very modern with a touch of Indo-Mexican traditions. We used Events by Faiza, and she was terrific. We were only able to meet with her in person once due to COVID at that time. However, she was able to replicate our vision, and she made it all come to life. Our decor for Sangeet was much more colorful and lively. We incorporated both Indian and Mexican traditions. We had a bindi/bangle bar and henna station. We also had sombreros, maracas, and fans (abanicos) for our guests. The Hindu ceremony was grand - a lot of florals mixed with golds and a mirrored aisle. The western ceremony was simple yet elegant with acrylic accents and white floral arrangements. We had this ceremony outside with the views of Downtown Dallas. The reception was captivating. We had LED walls along with our DJ. We had a breathtaking floral ceiling treatment above the dance floor with our monogram in gold. We had Folklorico dancers and mariachi performances. DJ Riz made sure the dance floor was never empty. We had the pleasure of working with MNM Photography. I could not be happier with their work. Murtuza's style and attention to detail drew us to him and his team. We are forever grateful for the fantastic and beautiful memories he was able to capture for us.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
As we look back on our wedding, our guests loved how effortlessly our cultures blended. A lot of our traditions (although different in their ways) symbolize the same values. It was a very emotional experience, and we are so glad that our guests could be a part of it with us. I loved seeing my grandfather (who speaks very little English) walking over to Umesh's aunts and uncles from India and introducing himself. We were able to see our families mesh so well together after only having just met is something that we will always hold on to.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The seamless connection among Indian and Mexican cultures and how receptive and welcoming both families were to each other throughout each event.

She looked like a goddess throughout the entire wedding bash! For the closing gala, everyone celebrated along with the newlyweds, dancing to the beats of Boston Sound and Light Company, and tasting the delicious food prepared by Maya Indian Bar & Grill, who delighted everyone with a culinary experience like no other!
