San Jose, CA Indian Fusion Wedding by JSK Photography

Welcome back, Maharanis! We've returned with the dazzling details of Hardeep and Clinton's reception! Both before and during the event, the talented team at JSK Photography snapped fabulous pictures of the newlyweds; we love how romantic all the photos look! For the reception, R&R Event Rentals added colorful floral accents and a classy cream-colored sweetheart stage to the elegant Paradise Palace ballroom, creating a sophisticated and fun celebration space. The reception also featured a wedding cake and sweet treats from Euro Delight, delicious food from Kabila Restaurant and BPR Crew on the dancefloor spinning the perfect songs. To see the all of it, visit the full gallery!

Maharani Hardeep on her favorite parts of wedding planning:

"The best part was cake tasting and picking out mini desert flavors and look of the deserts; [I also enjoyed] outfit designing, sherwani designing and lip singing and dancing for my music video."

On choosing her bridal fashion:

"Well, since I only had three weeks in India, I had to choose my lenghas fast. I figured, if I can get my reception and wedding lengha, the rest I can just order later. I always wanted to wear bright red. I found red orange to be perfect. I wanted just one color lengha for the wedding and loved what Faryal Makhdoom wore for hers so I figured, why not get something similar. For the reception, I had no idea what I wanted to wear. My mom said no white, so option number one was off the table. I love yellow but went with something that would stand out in low lights. Hot pink and yellow it was with a whole lot of sparkles. Yes, both dresses weighed more than me!

For my sangeet, I actually ordered it via WhatsApp from the same people who did my wedding and reception lengha. I wanted to wear a lighter color with bright chunni. I went with a gold floor-length anarkali with orange chunni. I [wanted]  the floor length anarkali to have tons of volume and it did. I loved it."

On the most magical wedding moments:

"The whole wedding was magical. The smile on his face as I entered the Gurdwara. The deep breath I took as I walked down the aisle (a little nervous but watching him smile made it all better). The saddest moment: Watching my little nephew cry. The funniest moment: He gave my sisters 10,000 pennies for the robin ceremony as a joke. The faces they made when they each had to carry the 60 pounds was priceless."

On their perfect first dance song:

"Ronan Keating, 'When You Say Nothing at All.' We both wrote down our top 5, and picked this one because we don't need words to talk."

On how her family helped make the day special:

"My father never danced in his life. He refused to dance at parties, but I told him he needed to dance with me since I am the last kid and he needed to do the father-daughter dance. That was the first time my dad danced. He smiled throughout the song. Since it was a longer song, my brother helped him by dancing with me for second half of the song. Both of them made it very special."

Meet us here tomorrow for an incredible Indian wedding!

Mountain View, CA South Asian Wedding by Fusion Moments Media

Welcome back, Maharanis! We're excited to share more Roshni and Vinith's spectacular shaadi with you! Held at the Computer History Museum, their South Asian wedding reception featured super scrumptious food served buffet-style from Milan Catering. DJ Jeremy Productions was also there to play the perfect party songs throughout the night. Candles and flowers from Blooming Bouquet and a rose-covered cake from Satura Cakes added to the event's classy atmosphere, and what we especially loved were the mathematical references the newlyweds incorporated into their place cards and favors. We also adored the creative portraits Final Frame took of our Maharani and her Raja throughout the museum! If you want to see more delicious food, divine decor and delightful portraits, head to the full gallery!

Maharani Kajal on her favorite part of wedding planning:

"I liked thinking about the small details -- having a picture of my dad at the venue (he passed away when I was younger), having milk & cookies for the kids during the toast, etc. I loved that I could come up with ideas and my mom/sister-in-law would make them happen!"

On the most magical moment of the wedding:

"Being carried down the aisle was so special and the moment felt magical -- everything was just perfect -- the weather, the music, my family and of course Akshar!"

On the perfect first dance song:

"We made a mix of John Mayer's 'XO' and Aashiqui 'Tum Hi Ho.' We knew we wanted a fusion of American/Indian and we just chose 2 songs we really liked!"

On the role her family played in the wedding:

"My sister-in-law and mom were a huge part in making all of my ideas come to life. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to do all of this as I am in residency and didn't always have much time."

We'll have another amazing South Asian wedding tomorrow, so come back to see it!

San Mateo, CA Indian Fusion Wedding by Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema

Hello, Maharanis! Today we've got an incredible Indian wedding double feature for you, with four posts here and four on the main blog! Make sure to check out everything! Right now, we're starting with Indian bride Kayla's breathtaking bouquet! Designed by Suhaag Garden, the bouquet was a spectacular cascade of flowers dangling from the bride's arm, which was reminiscent of the embroidery on our Maharani's lengha! The soft cream color of the flowers was also echoed in the rest of the amazing ceremony floral and decor by Suhaag Garden. The richness of the bouquet's texture also complemented the bride's mehndi by Henna Lounge, and Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema captured all the exquisite details! For more of this wedding's fabulous fashions, you can head to the main blog for the getting-ready details and the full gallery to enjoy the bride's dazzling reception outfit from Sari Palace!
