Philadelphia, PA Indian Wedding by NYNJ Photography

Welcome back, Maharanis! We're at the gorgeous Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia for a fabulous Indian wedding reception! The elegant venue had a huge chandelier in the center of the ballroom, and there were dazzling chandelier decorations incorporated into the sweetheart stage! There were also majestic orange curtains and purple and aqua flowers for vibrant pops of color! The newlyweds started off the celebration in their ceremony attire, but switched into new reception outfits later on; we loved the Indian bride's violet and gold sari! Check out more of NYNJ Photography's beautiful reception photos in the full gallery!

Philadelphia, PA Indian Wedding by NYNJ Photography

Hello, Maharanis! Today we've got a beautiful contemporary Indian wedding, perfectly photographed by NYNJ Photography! Our lovely Indian bride Jessica wore a dazzling white wedding dress for the occasion, while her bridesmaids wore classy gold and orange saris. Meanwhile, the Indian groom wore a white and black tuxedo to match with his Maharani. The two lovebirds tied the knot in a Catholic ceremony at the gorgeous National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, where the venue's soft pastel colors and paintings blended wonderfully with the couple's outfits! Maharani Pritika on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"Vishal and I met the good old fashioned way...on Shaadi.com. When he first messaged me, I was living in Los Angeles and he was in San Jose. I was in no way looking for a long distance relationship but something made me want to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. We clicked instantly. We talked all day every day for a month before we met in person and never ran out of things to talk about. From Gchat at work, to phone calls on the drive home, to 4 hour Facetime sessions when we got home, we grew closer and closer. I realized he was the one when I went to visit him in San Jose for the first time. During our initial Facetime sessions I mentioned to him that I loved watching planes land and I didn't think he would remember it. On our first Bay Area date, we went and got breakfast burritos in Hayward, drove to Burlingame, and sat in the car while it poured, attempting to watch the planes land at SFO through the dark clouds. We laughed so much, it was one of the best times I ever had in my life. From then on, I knew I'd be happy eating burritos in a car, as long as Vishal was there."

On the proposal:

"I knew the proposal was coming, I just didn't know when or how. But when Vishal told me he wanted to take me on a picnic, in November and in San Francisco, I knew something was up. We had been talking about going on a picnic since we started dating but it never panned out. On October 31st 2015, I flew from Los Angeles to San Jose and was welcomed by pouring rain. I was totally up for canceling the picnic but Vishal still had high hopes. This made me even more suspicious. Why was he so insistent on going on this picnic? I got so excited that I could barely sleep. By the next morning, the rain had stopped, but it was freezing outside. Vishal saw how cold I was and canceled the picnic without a second thought. Was I wrong about the whole proposal? We went along our day, and just before heading to lunch, Vishal took me back to the same place we had at our first date in the Bay Area. A spot in Burlingame where you can see the planes take off and land at SFO. We sat for a while watching the planes. After some time, we decided to leave but Vishal said he had to tie his shoes. Little did I notice, his shoes didn't have laces! I can't believe I fell for it! I turned around wondering what was taking him so long and saw him down on one knee holding out a ring. I honestly cannot remember a single word he said because all I kept saying was 'Oh my god, oh my god.' I was in such a shock that I didn't even hear him ask me if I would marry him and he had to ask 'Are you going to answer my question?' Of course, I said yes and we went to celebrate by having lunch at In-N-Out."

Up next is the dreamy reception!
