Atlanta, GA Wedding by Christopher Brock Photography

For Sabrina and Faizan’s five day wedding celebration, every moment was bursting with love and beauty! No detail was overlooked, and the festivities were beautifully planned with help from Urvashi Mishra, Wedding & Event Planner. The photos and video were captured by the talented Christopher Brock Photography and we loved looking through each and every gorgeous image! A joyous sangeet kicked off the events with a bang, and featured delightful performances from the couple’s loved ones. The sangeet space at Sonesta Gwinnett Place was transformed by Events in Style By Beenish to resemble ‘The Starry Night’ painting with gold embellishments. The excitement continued to grow as the couple participated in a spirited haldi, which was followed the next day by their emotional wedding ceremony. Their outdoor ceremony was fresh and airy, and the crisp, white decor added to the elegance of the affair. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Sabrina floated down the aisle in her white gown, with hair and makeup by Kristen White and Whitney Olivia. She looked incredibly beautiful, and the couple looked elated as they were pronounced husband and wife! Our next post will cover the newlyweds’ glam reception, which featured catering by Cafe Bombay Catering and music by Luxury Lounge. Please make sure to check back soon! In the meantime, take a look at the full gallery, or check out our previous post which includes Sabrina and Faizan’s wedding film by Christopher Brock Photography!

Piscataway, NJ Indian Wedding by Ishan Fotografi

Welcome back Maharanis! For all you brides-to-be, look no further than these breathtaking photos of Pooja and Sandeep’s reception for oodles of inspiration! The marvelous decor at the Radisson Hotel Piscataway-Somerset venue was designed by Mandaps by Dhoom, and took our breath away! It exclusively featured shades of purple, from the enormous fuchsia florals, lavender uplighting, and violet-trimmed cake. Also adorned in purple was Pooja, who dazzled in glitziest of gowns - We were mesmerized by the intricate detailing and rich color of her lehenga! Sonia C created yet another glamazon look for Pooja, featuring loose curls and sultry makeup. As the reception program began, Pooja and Sandeep’s family and friends spoke hilarious and touching words about how special the newlyweds were and how perfect they were together! Ishan Fotografi captured so many memorable moments of the program, and we can’t wait to see the video footage by My Wedding Maker. We especially adored the photos of the couple with their heads thrown back in laughter! The happiness didn’t stop there, and as Raaz Entertainment took the stage, guests swarmed the dance floor with LED sticks to continue the love fest! Please peruse the full gallery by Ishan Fotografi for all the amazing photos or read up on all the behind the scenes deets in our interview with Maharani Pooja!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

I met my groom online! We met on an app called Coffee Meets Bagel. I knew he was the one instantly. Our first date was right before my birthday, so he got me cupcakes as a small gesture on our first date. My dating profile said "nothing makes me happier then a great cup of coffee and a cupcake". He was always so thoughtful and knew how to make me smile instantly!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

When we first started dating, we started binge watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. The proposal story was a scavenger hunt based around the show. At the end of it I ended up at the Monarch Rooftop in NYC with my handsome fiance to be waiting to pop the question!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I went to shop for my wedding clothes in India. I knew that I wanted to be a traditional bride, after all-how many times in your life can you really wear an all red lengha and get super dolled up?!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

The food and the music! Raaz Entertainment and Rasoi really held it down for us! Jay Rana and his team really knew how to throw a party both nights (Sangeet and Reception). Jay was there for us every step of the way, even things that were technically outside of the scope of his contract, he helped us in any way that he could and we couldn't thank him enough for that. Even though our Sangeet was on a Friday night and our reception was the next day, Jay and his team made it feel like two separate parties both nights.

Our guests to this day, almost a year later, rave about our food! They really enjoyed the variety that Rasoi provided us with.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

The moment that Sandeep realized that I was surprising him with a dance on our Sangeet night. The second I jumped onto the dance floor and started dancing to "Radha", I remember his jaw dropping and a smile wide on his face.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Mehndi: Dipti's Global Henna

Piscataway, NJ Indian Wedding by Ishan Fotografi

So many details of Pooja and Sandeep’s wedding at the Radisson Hotel Piscataway-Somerset jumped out at us, but we have to start with the couple’s phenomenal weddings fashions! We’re coveting Pooja’s perfect red lehenga and loving her masterful hair and makeup look created by Sonia C - It perfectly enhanced her beauty, and she looked like such a doll! And while we usually are completely focused on the bride’s look, we have to give a shout-out to Sandeep and his jewel-encrusted sherwani. So much style! From the very first photos by Ishan Fotografi, we could tell that electricity charged the air, with the bridesmaids and groomsmen getting the party started immediately. As guests partied their way down the street during the baraat, confetti rained over Sandeep, and every single person wore a smile from ear to ear! For the ceremony staging, a royal mandap in burgundy and gold was designed by Mandaps by Dhoom, and was absolutely fitting for Maharani Pooja and her Maharaja Sandeep to be married under. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and the couple departed in a flurry of hugs and kisses from their loved ones. The festivities had only just begun, and we guarantee you’ll want to check back when we cover Pooja and Sandeep’s unbelievable plum-themed reception with music and entertainment by Raaz Entertainment! Check out the full gallery by the amazing Ishan Fotografi for a sneak peek!

Check back very soon for our coverage of Pooja & Sandeep's reception!

Columbus, Ohio Fusion Wedding by Christa Kimble Fine Art Photography

We pick back up with jet-setting Michelle & Michael's classy reception gala. After an intimate and lovely wedding ceremony held at the Hindu Temple of Dayton, guests shifted to the Sheraton Columbus for an Indian fusion affair. Weddings Instyle transformed the ballroom with enormous calla lilies and sequenced table coverings that elevated the elegance and grandeur of the ballroom to the next level. Joie de Vivre Events helped to design and execute the wedding events so that no stone was left unturned, and so that the glowing couple could enjoy their ceremonies without worrying about the behind the scenes activities! Maharani Michelle looked beyond gorgeous in a turquoise lehenga that was tailored to perfection, with hair and makeup by Hey Pretty! Beauty. A highlight of the night were the speeches from the bride's father and the groom's father. Both men brought the house down with their incredible words! Also, a hit was the food and the cake! The Sheraton Columbus were behind the guests' overflowing plates and DJ Samir Productions provided the infectious rhythms behind the turntables. The dance floor was packed with people who were so excited to celebrate Michelle & Michael's love! You should check out the full gallery for more magical photos by Christa Kimble from this fun-filled extravaganza or scroll below for more details from the bride herself!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

My husband and I met on an app called "Coffee Meets Bagel," a maybe slightly classier version of Tinder. I had been on for just a couple days when I matched with Michael. I initiated a conversation about traveling (his profile photo was one from a trip to Greece). We talked frequently; first about the basics like what types of residents we are, places we wanted to travel, etc. We then moved on to the weightier topics of Justin Bieber's hair and chocolate milk. He came to visit and we had a wonderful first day that consisted of brunch, a competition at an arcade bar, an ugly Christmas sweater party at a friend's house, and falling asleep standing up at the bar. After that day, I knew he was the one.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

We made a goal to travel internationally each year. We decided to make a trip to Scotland in 2015 with one of his best friends from medical school and his girlfriend. We were in the beautiful Highland region. We went up a muddy hill to where a very old castle could be spotted. It had rained the night before and the ground was muddy so we couldn't take the car all the way up; we left it by a pasture of cows. The rest of the mini hike was well worth the view at the top. Michael proposed atop this hill under the bluest of skies. Chris was standing by and had captured it all on camera and had stashed a bottle of champagne in the car. We accidentally popped the cork into the cow pasture and consumed the bottle in the field. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

My parents took on most of the planning with the help of our wedding planner, Priscah. My parents are very organized, to say the least. They did a lot of research into venues and pricing and Michael and I had the much easier job of visiting the places and selecting the final venues. My mom and aunt selected clothes in India and FaceTimed me at home since I couldn't leave work long enough to make the trip.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I knew I wanted a bright color. My aunt has great taste so I trust her to pick some beautiful lenghas to choose from. I thought about a sari but I'm just not graceful enough to move around in it so opted for a lengha. The one we chose was just beautiful. I knew I wanted a royal blue lengha for the reception. My mom spent so long working on the detailing and tailoring (the tailor in India had mixed up mine and my sister's sizes so the reception outfit didn't fit initially)!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

FOOD AND CAKE TASTING!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

The DJ, bar, food, Michael's dad address during our Western ceremony. Our wedding was on the smaller side for an Indian wedding (about 250) and at least half of the guests had never attended an Indian wedding. Our two sides had so much fun together and became fast friends, as evidenced by our photos!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

The speeches from our fathers, our first dance, and the guests dancing on the mandap at the end of the reception

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Do not sweat the little details. Pick a few things that are really important to you (for us, it was hotel room prices, good food, open bar and a good DJ) and put most of your energy there. Remember that no one will remember if something doesn't go entirely as planned, so relax a little.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

We loved our photographer!!!! My mom made our bouquets and Michael's mom and cousin made the arrangements for our Western ceremony.

We hope you loved this chic fusion wedding! We'll see you all tomorrow!

Columbus, Ohio Fusion Wedding by Christa Kimble Fine Art Photography

This jet-setting duo were engaged in the Highland region of Scotland, where they celebrated afterwards in a field of cows with champagne and a view of a historic castle. While it seems impossible to top this epic proposal, Michelle & Michael managed to do so with the planning and design help of Joie de Vivre Events, and pulled off an incredible wedding celebration filled with color and beauty. The bride was draped in a vibrant pink lehenga embellished with gold embroidery, and looked like complete royalty in the photos by Christa Kimble Fine Art Photography. Michelle's soft makeup look created by Hey Pretty! Beauty paired perfectly with her bridal glow to create a stunning effect. Meanwhile, the crazy baraat, complete with a horse from Willow Wind & Carriagewas in full swing outside, with handsome Michael embodying the part of the excited, soon-to-be-married Raja. Weddings Instyle created such unique, clean decor designs for the couple's ceremony, and we felt refreshed gazing upon the pristine white mandap with bold red pops of color. You won't want to miss our next post on the couple's stunning reception event at the Sheraton Columbus, so check back soon! You can hear more fascinating details from the bride below, and can take a peek at the full gallery!
