Whippany, New Jersey Indian Wedding by Asaad Images

From single to soulmate. From the first date to forever. Maharani Payal's love for her beau Hiten is seemingly timeless. And, as apparent in this fabulous soiree orchestrated by Mayank Amin of Platinum Dream Events, you can certainly see why! The bride's wish of a sophisticated designed venue with debonair lighting and her closest family and friends came true at the Hanover Marriott. After being dolled up by Flawless Beauty by Pauline, Payal and Hiten hit the outdoors to take some gorgeous portraits with Asaad Images. The spacious ballroom was filled with elegant tablescapes, ivory linens, and shimmering drapery. The sweetheart stage was lit up in illuminated lighting that added a level of pizazz throughout the venue (and made for some great lighting by Premier DJ USA!). Behind the animated lens was Regal Palette Studio capturing each stunning clip. I have personally picked some of my favorites down below, however, all the romantic images can be found in our gallery.

Whippany, New Jersey Indian Wedding by Asaad Images

What's your Indian wedding fantasy? For Maharani Payal it was cultural ceremony intermixed with a regal reception at the elegant Hanover Marriott, planned and designed by Platinum Dream Events. This prestigious Indian wedding feature by the incredibly talented Asaad Images paints a photo of a loving couple with an equally tender support system. My absolutely favorite element of an Indian wedding is the baraat party. Us Maharanis like to get down! But, so do the Maharajas as evident in all these charming clips with the groom and his boys getting ready for the big moment! Flawless Beauty by Pauline hand designed a blushing Indian bride that has me green with envy. Wedding Design bathed the venue in an ethereal glow with regal pedestals and décor. Regal Palette Studio was there to capture all the love action. Trust me, babes, you are going to want to spend some time in our gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Hiten and I met online. We spent a few weeks chatting back and forth before we decided it was time to meet face-to-face. From the beginning, I could tell that Hiten was kind, respectful, and an overall fun-loving person. I had to postpone our date until the end of July of that year because I was finishing up some classes. Hiten thought I was flaking on him, but unbeknownst to him, I truly was planning to reach out at the end of the month. So, I did. We met up for dinner, which ended up lasting about 6 hours as we talked about life, family, friends, and everything in between. Hiten was my first and only online date, and I'm extremely lucky to have found my partner in him. I knew he was "the one" based on his thoughtful gestures, the way he treated my parents with sheer kindness, and how he so naturally put my needs above his own.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Hiten proposed on 3/18/2017 in Philadelphia near the AMOR sculpture in Logan Square. At the time I was a part of  Exodus Artistry, a dance company (hire them for all your dance needs), so Hiten had them plan a fake dance gig in Philly to get me there without suspicion. We started that Saturday with brunch at Bar BomBón, after which we headed to Logan Square. Hiten insisted on getting a photo in front of the iconic sculpture, so we made our way there. When we arrived, we asked a woman to take our photo, and this woman proceeded to take a photo of us not only on our phone camera but also on her professional camera. I started telling Hiten that we should ask her to delete the picture, etc, etc. Before I knew it, Hiten got down on one knee and started to propose! He explained why there's a woman taking our photo, why we're here, and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I always thought I would cry during my proposal, but honestly, all I felt was pure happiness and I could not stop smiling. Within minutes, all of our closest friends and family from all over the country (& world) walked towards us with decorations and signs. Then, Hiten had organized for my girlfriends and Mom to bring outfits, makeup, and hair tools to get me ready before we went out for the rest of the night. The day was absolutely perfect. He is perfect.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Since Hiten and I had discussed getting engaged, I had started the planning process quite early. I had several email drafts already saved to vendors that I knew would deliver perfection. I had known my makeup artist for 2 years (since she did my MOH's hair/makeup at her wedding), so that was easy. I actually picked my wedding date around her availability. We chose the venue that had those dates, fell within our budget, and looked like a place we could envision our wedding. The one question to ask yourself when choosing a vendor is "Are they flexible and easy to work with?". If you don't enjoy talking to them or feel comfortable with the vendor, don't waste your time.

Outfits: We went to India for all of our outfits. It was quite the hassle dealing with vendors in India, but you do get a ton of options. At the end, we were happy.

Decor Theme: This was probably one of the hardest parts for me. Even though I had an overflow of ideas from Instagram and Pinterest, it was difficult to choose just one theme and put it all together. I knew that I wanted a colorful garba, modern yet traditional mandap style, and an elegant reception, so Hiten and I chose the decor that best fit that criteria.

Wedding Planner: That was easy! Hiten knew Mayank from Platinum Dreams and we had heard great things about the team. And boy, did they deliver! Not only were we pleased, but our guests were boasting about the Platinum group for weeks.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I worked with Suruchi Parakh from Surat, Gujarat to design my wedding dress. I always knew I wanted to have a green and gold lengha, so she helped bring my vision to life.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Wedding Ceremony:
We were fortunate to have little to no chatter from a crowd of 320 people, and our guests seemed to appreciate that. We also heard that the ceremony was timely and organized.

Reception:
Our DJ made the evening extremely enjoyable. Because we had limited speeches(for an Indian wedding), we maximized the amount of time our guests could spend on the dance floor. After the wedding, many of our guests said that they had never seen a wedding where everyone immediately joined the dance floor and had a good 4-5 hours of dancing, no interruptions. That was VERY important to us. The reception is a time enjoy and we are so happy to hear that our guests had fun.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our reception hall reveal gave us a few minutes to soak in what had just happened a few hours prior -- we got married! We also rehearsed our first dance, which gave us a more intimate feeling than performing it at the reception. Hiten will argue that his most special moment was the nap he squeezed in after the ceremony before the reception ;)

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
1. It's never too early to start planning
2. Complete your guest list first
3. Book your vendors early (esp in NY/NJ)
4. Schedule a weekly date night with your fiancé and don't talk about wedding planning
5. Remember that it all does come together, so don't forget to reflect during the planning process and appreciate the end goal.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We could discuss every single detail about our wedding for days on end, but I think our pictures do it justice. This was the most perfect day that came together because of our love for each other, support from friends/family, and immense planning. No matter how your wedding ends up, it is a dream come true. I wouldn't change anything about our wedding week, except maybe have a repeat button because I never wanted it to end!

Fashionistas, you won't want to miss a beat! The reception party is headed your way!

Garden City, NY Indian Wedding by Elizabeth Tsung Photo

Every bride deserves to feel like a star on her big day. I celebrate the very last celebration honoring the love between Natasha and Fayzan in today's very special feature. One of the celebrated occasions was the Midas touch inspired walima. Makeup artist SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani ensured that Maharani Natasha looked beautiful from every angle of Elizabeth Tsung Photo's lens. The bride's trousseau was vintage inspired yet maintained that contemporary feel that I have come to love. Artful henna by Mehndikalogie added that extra flair. Guests hit the dance floor with Platinum Booths on the sound stage to a lit up venue that was covered with sheer elegance by Pedestals! A personal favorite was the copious blooms of flora and fauna on the sweetheart stage. In our gallery, I have all the tender moments!

Looking at Maharani Natasha's nikkah photos, I can just tell that this is one gushing bride! Here at Maharani Weddings we love modernized, sophisticated twists but, I adore embracing the traditional culture. Today's bride opted for a full Pakistani bridal look complete with a large maang tikka, glimmering necklaces and of course the coveted dupatta. SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani and Mehndikalogie tagged team to ensure the bride was looking and feeling her best. The bride turned heads as she walked down at The Garden City Hotel to meet her groom. Pedestals ensured that each floral and decor item was top notch and most certainly achieved a classy and sophisticated appearance to the venue. All the shots celebrating pure love is shot to perfection by Elizabeth Tsung Photo in our gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Fayzan and I met at a running club in Central Park in 2016. Having moved to NYC from Sydney several months earlier, Fayzan showed up for his first run with a commitment to getting in shape. Little did either of us know back then that we would end up committing to each other for life.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During the winter season's first snowfall, we had a cozy brunch together in Brooklyn and then walked to Prospect Park. After strolling through the park and enjoying the snow for a while, we found a quiet spot under a tree. In that moment, Fayzan caught me by complete surprise when he took out a ring and proposed.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted a traditional look in a non-traditional color, so I opted for light pink and gold. My mother, who has impeccable taste and an artistic eye, went to India and worked with a designer to select the colors, fabrics, embroidery, and silhouette that she envisioned. She also selected a vintage jewelry set to match the lengha. I honestly had very little knowledge of what my wedding outfit would look like until it arrived two weeks before the wedding. When it did, I couldn't have been happier.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
While planning a multi-day South Asian wedding can be daunting, we really enjoyed honoring our cultural and religious traditions. I am Kashmiri, Fayzan is Pakistani, and we are both Muslim - faith, family, and community mean a lot to us. We loved working with our vendors to create the right ceremony elements/music/food/decor/vibes for our guests!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I will remember those special moments when our families came together to dance, embrace one another, give funny speeches, and support each other through all the feelings. Rather than just a celebration of two people's love, it felt like a celebration of two families joining.

The tender ending is on its way!

Edison, NJ Pakistani Wedding by I Do Clicks

I Do Clicks effortlessly captured the newlyweds during their reception as they complement each other perfectly in their stunning evening outfits in every shot! Maliha Khan Makeup was back on task to beautified this Maharani with impeccable makeup and a side-swept hairstyle that finished her exquisite turquoise Anarkali suit while our dashing groom tucked away his traditional suit and looked super stylish in a blue suit! One of the bride’s favorite moments of the night was thanks to DJ Monu Singh Entertainment as the entertainment expert played the best Bollywood beats for the couple to surprise the crowd with an awesome choreographed dance! The yummiest and most beautiful three-tier wedding cake from Bitsycakes was sliced and served after the creative cuisine from Mantra delighted all the attendees! Congrats, to the newlyweds who created a night to remember amidst a silver, white and light blue shades! Check out the gallery for more portraits of this sweet Pakistani couple!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in college. I knew he was the one when he competed in a wing eating competition against his friends and won.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me and my friends to an escape room game. As the final clue rose out of the podium, I saw the ring box in there. He took it and got down on one knee and proposed. That day we won the game and won each other for the rest of our lives.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We looked on Instagram and Maharani weddings for our vendors and took recommendations from others. We also found some vendors at the Dulhan Expo. Overall, we were very happy with all of our vendors, except for our decorator. Our decorator was and weddings and we were not happy with her. She was very rude, even on the day of the wedding, and promised us things for our decorations that she did not end up giving us. Our event started at 5 pm and she did not finish the decorations until 6 pm.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went to different stores and tried on various dresses. I saw the beautiful dresses at Resham Creations and loved them.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was trying all the food by our wonderful caterer, Mantra in Paramus. It was such a delicious and fun experience.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved our outfits, makeup and hair, and food. They also loved our choreographed dances and open dance floor. Everyone had fun together! The photos and videos we got were so perfect! They perfectly captured all the happiness and love in our functions. We were so happy with idoclicks.com!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
When my husband entered in the wedding reception, his groomsmen carried him in like Superman. It was hilarious and so Bollywood.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
The jewelry was also from Resham Creations.

There is more coming up tomorrow, remember to come back!
