Queens, New York Pakistani Wedding by Alifsa Studio

I’m so excited to share the images of this divine Pakistani affair of Kishmala and Irfan! These two were definitely meant for each other and confirmed it at their beautiful Valima Ceremony hosted at the wonderful Terrace on the Park and here is where Maharani Kishmala had her stellar moment as she entered in an open doli to meet her other half. The bride’s heavenly look wouldn’t have been possible without the magic touch of Maliha Khan who dolled up the bride for her big moment! Groom Irfan, considered his wedding outfit for his big day seriously and wore a fine golden sherwani worthy of a prince. The entire décor of this extremely significant day was produced by the brilliant Stylish Events who created a beautiful white floral backdrop and gorgeous floral centerpieces! After the union, it is well-known that the first dinner as husband and wife must be a spectacular banquet and that is exactly what Kebab King achieved for the newlyweds that night. Alifsa Studio documented each candid moment and portrait for the posterity. Check every single shot and head to the gallery for more inspiration!

Have a wonderful wedding Wednesday dolls!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

My mom and I have been planning my wedding for about 4 years now. Gathering all of the decorations and things we might need during the wedding. As the last 6 months apprached, that’s when we went into full on preparation mode. We made all of the baskets, mehendi plates, all the little decoration details but hand with the stuff we had been collecting over the years. The venue was Terrace on the Park in Queens, NY. Hair and makeup was done in the bridal suite by c. The decor was done by Stylish Events in Hicksville.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I really wanted to get a nice mix in my bridal dress of American and desi. That is why I went with red and white. I didn’t have a certain shade of red in mind but as soon as I put that dress on, I loved the color and the mirrors all over the whole dress. It was unlike any other I had seen.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part I would say was the last few days approaching the wedding. Their were so many people in my house all the time. Someone was decorating the house, and others hanging my jehez clothes up. My sister and I were making decorative boxes to display my sandals and clutches. It was all such a memorable experience.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think just the overall feel of it. I had so many events leading up to my wedding. I had 3 dholkis, 2 bridal showers, mehendi, shaadi and last was valima. My wedding felt like it lasted a long time which I think people really enjoyed.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment that replays in my mind is my entrance. When I was carried into the hall in an open doli, with the song “kaun Tujhe” playing in the background. It felt magical.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
All the events before my wedding like the dholkis and bridal showers, those were all planned and decorated by my mom and I. For the main dholki I had at my house, I had my friends practice a dance routine with me months in advance.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
I feel like as a bride, you take too much pressure and tension on everything being perfect. You get so caught up in the fact that everything goes as you planned that you forget to enjoy your own wedding. The day of my wedding passed so quickly. When it was time for ruksati I was so confused thinking “wait, it’s over?” The whole wedding passed in just getting a photoshoot while everyone else had dinner. My advice would be to just take a chill pill and savor every moment of your wedding day because it won’t come again. So just enjoy it!

Randolph, NJ Indian Wedding by PhotosMadeEz

Welcome back to Shikha and Somnath’s fabulous Indian wedding at The Skylands at Randolph where the inside of the venue was just as glittering as the outside. The apparent theme throughout this entire Platinum Guide blog feature is most certainly family. Each clip by Mou Mukherjee of PhotosMadeEz has been captured with an eclectic mindset and we can only imagine how amazing the day was! Looking your best is a must! That is why choosing the perfect hair and beauty artist is one best (and hardest!) decisions an Indian bride can make. Cinderella Bridez ensured that Shikha was a fluttering beauty by utilizing the bride’s long locks and flawless skin to really make a statement! Pair that look with a light blue and sliver anarkali and you got yourself a pretty perfect bride! Magic Mike DJs ensured that the venue was stacked with the latest and greatest hits and really, who doesn’t love the music at Indian weddings? The series of events was stage-managed by Chandni of Pearl Events and Co. with sheer honing. Head into the gallery where the outpour of love is just oh so uncanny.

Randolph, NJ Indian Wedding by PhotosMadeEz

We are delighted to dedicate today’s Platinum Guide blog to Maharani Shikha and Somnath. Maharani Weddings will be taking you back in time, to the Moghul era where fashion and elegance go hand in hand. What I love about Indian brides utilizing their Indian roots is the refinement that comes with the foregone era. Our bride, adorned by the ever so sought after Cinderella Bridez, was trickling with Bollywood fashion. Utilizing fresh floral and golden trinkets; Somnath paired these accessories with a red and gold raw silk sari. I absolutely love how jewelry was kept minimal with an emphasis on natural beauty taking center stage. Mandaps by Dhoom constructed a gold pillar mandap that was furnished with floral and fauna grandeur. Chandni of Pearls Event and Co. created Shikha’s dream Indian wedding by ensuring that all guests felt warm and welcome throughout the multifaceted commemoration. No doubt that guests rocked out to the lyrics throughout the ceremony by Magic Mike DJs. Picking a favorite is hard! So, we have tucked away all the delightful images in our gallery  snapped by Mou Mukherjee PhotosMadeEz
