Teaneck, NJ Indian Wedding by House of Talent

Welcome back to another unique bridal tale! I hope you took a minute or two to get lost in Sonali and Vivek's surprising NYC flashmob proposal and magical New Jersey wedding. At the beautiful Marriott Glenpointe, wedding planners from Elite Events Management had gone head over heels to coordinate sangeet, ceremony, and reception. As a former wedding planner, I know how many details, to do lists, colorscales, and craziness this project entails. Phew! Today we would like to share all the memorable moments focused on the reception and captured by wedding photo specialists from House of Talent StudioDJ USA collaborated in best fashion by providing amazing tunes and an incredible purple setup of uplights, spotlights, gobos, and divine wedding styled lighting. Elegant Affairs Inc. finished the look with their great sense of decor and florals, adding a big bucket of elegance and innovation to the picture! We all know that Indian weddings last for days! This is why good food is such an important factor. Bukhara & Tandoor definitely did their part in making the crowd feel comfortable and well-fed at all times with delicious bites. We don't need to say much about the cake because the brand says it all, and yes, it is Palermo BakerySabyasachi did an incredible job on the gowns and lehengas. Scrawl down for a moment and check out our chic bride in her finest wedding gear! With all the fashion, comes the necessity of bridal draping, sari tying, and styling, but Beauty by Tamanna made sure everything looked picture perfect! For the sangeet, GlamFace by Hena pitched in with beyond lovely makeup and draping! Beauty by Tamanna mastered hair and makeup for the rest of the happenings and we are absolutely thrilled about how Sonali's bright makeup and pitch dark, wavy hair complements her rosy gown at the reception. We assume you also noticed the decorative mehndi by Savvy Beauty! If only we could take a peak and view the pictures from Miles of Smiles photobooth and wedding video by SWAT Films as well! Thank God, we have tons of over-the-top images captured by experts from House of Talent Studio. Take a long look at the shots below or enjoy our loveful gallery

Teaneck, NJ Indian Wedding by House of Talent

Welcome back, Maharanis! If you are just joining us today we are devouring the gorgeous Indian wedding of Sonali and Vivek. I was beyond smitten with the groom after finding out in what fashion he proposed to his Maharani, so you will definitely want to read the details on all the magic below. Now, Vivek proposed in November 2016 and the wedding took place only 6 months later. I am thinking to myself: to thank goodness they hired Elite Events Management to coordinate this 600-person bridal affair. The couple dreamt of a Bollywood style wedding and oh, did their dreams come true! The couple decided to utilize elegant Marriott Glenpointe as the platform for their sangeet, ceremony, and reception. Bridal fashion enthusiasts and fashionistas all over, get ready because this gorgeous bride donned our favorite designer, yep, wait for it, Sabyasachi! And, to make sure this gorgeous creation was perfectly pinned, Beauty by Tamanna was there so every tuck and pleat was in place. Savvy Beauty accented the bride with marvelous and creative mehndi art. Hair & make up for the sangeet was done by the talented team at GlamFace by Hena, and for the big wedding day, Beauty by Tamanna was on hand to make sure every eyelash and bobby pin were in place. The venue at Marriott Glenpointe was transformed into the purple planet by DJUSA who created magic with innovative lighting and divine gobos. They accompanied the atmosphere with sweet tunes suitable for any dancefloor. We also got bridal-fever from admiring the tall ivory and rosy flowerful centerpieces and enchanting hanging glass bulbs containing white candles, all put together by Elegant Affairs Inc.. No food, no wedding, but in this case Bukhara & Tandoor teased everyone's taste buds with a tasty cuisine. Palermo Bakery finished the feast with one of their miracle cakes that no one can ever resist. The photobooth brought by Miles of Smiles was booming all night long and we are sure that an endless series of joyful selfies were captured. We hope to follow up with a wedding video by SWAT Films, requiring tons of tissues! For now, dream yourself away and take in all the unforgettable moments, eternally documented by talents from House of Talent Studio, in our full gallery or below images!

About the Proposal:
Taking advantage of the big apple as his playground, Vivek organized the most romantic gesture you can imagine to his beloved Sonali. Along with friends, he executed a Bollywood flash mob style proposal in the heart of New York. Together they performed a rather complicated Indian dance routine in the shadow of a statue advertising the letters L, O, V, E! If I was Sonali, I would not have doubted giving Vivek my forever yes after experiencing what he did. Stay tuned, reception on the way!

Houston, TX Indian Wedding by Biyani Photography

Happy Wednesday Maharanis! We’re going to perk up your morning with this sparkling reception soiree from Texas. The festivities kicked off at the Ballroom at Bayou Place  in grand style and we can’t share to share all the glam deets! Electric Karma orchestrated this splendid event in collaboration with Mandap Creations who oversaw the decor. Together they reminded us that florals, sparkles, and uplighting are a match made in heaven. This reception decor stole our hearts as soon as we saw the enviable floral patterned dance floor set against oodles of hanging white florals and crystals. The ballroom gleamed with silver accents, with the tablescapes featuring magnificent candelabras, sequin silver linens, and tropical blooms. Together with the LED luminescence that glowed throughout the space, the ambiance was sheer decadence. Mittali and Sumit looked like a match made in heaven with Mittali’s mod green lehenga and Sumit’s snazzy black sherwani pairing beautifully together. DJ Yogi did what they do best and ensured a packed dance floor with their banging Bollywood tunes. We were dazzled by all the fab snaps by Biyani Photography, so luxuriate in all the gorgeousness in the full gallery. And make sure to scroll below for all the behind the scenes scoop directly from Maharani Mittali.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met for the first time in Ahmedabad after talking for almost 3 and half months on phone. It was full of nervousness and excitement. We both always had a positive feeling whenever we would talk on phone but there was a little fear somewhere because we had never met personally. After our 3-4 meetings we got the answer that Yes we are made for each other. Our meeting was arranged which slowly and gradually turned into Love.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
It was in the beautiful city of Barcelona. They had planned a family trip to Europe, where his sisters and mom wanted me to join them and give him a Surprise. So I decided to fly to Barcelona from India. On the first day they had planned a family photoshoot, where I gave him a surprise at the cathedral of Barcelona. Then we started walking around the beautiful streets and taking pictures. Suddenly, I saw him holding a box, on which he had written beautiful sweet lines for me on each side and then he opened the box which had a RING in it. It was the most amazing feeling for me. So I thought I was giving him surprise by flying there but actually it was him who had planned this amazing proposal for me. And after that, another amazing surprise was Santorini. It was my dream destination and he had included Santorini in our trip which was another awesome surprise.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
After we had a beautiful wedding in India. We started planning for our Reception in Houston. They had already finalized the venue and the event planner before I moved to Houston and my beautiful outfit was a gift from my Mother in Law which she had already bought for me. So all I had to focus on was make up, decor and theme. We had several meetings with mandap decorators before we could decide on the theme of reception decor. I'm very much fond of florals and pastels, so after knowing about my likings, Mandap decorators suggested me beautiful decor and I had seen a very beautiful and huge chandelier in their storage. I had decided that I definitely want that chandelier in our decor, but at the same time i was not sure if it would fit with our theme. But thanks to the wedding planner and decorator, it was possible.
For the makeup, we had one meeting, where we discussed how I wanted my makeup and hairstyle to look very natural, simple, clean, and elegant. Blush and Glow understood my wants well and gave me the best look, just the way I wanted.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
As I mentioned above, my reception lehenga was a gift from my mother in law. I love pastels and wanted to wear the same for my function. Which coincidentally happened the same and I realized that me and my Mother in Law have a very similar choice and I got my dream lehenga for my special day.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was selecting the decor theme. We had such beautiful theme suggestions given and shown. Selecting table centerpieces, fabrics and all the discussions related to it was so enjoyable.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Everybody loved the food and decor on both the days.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Before the reception, we had a small welcome dinner/Sangeet function with limited guests. For this function I wanted a traditional touch to it. So we went with the peacock shades for the decor with beautiful fairy lights and food stalls. Sumit and his family loves old Bollywood classic songs. So we had called Shekhar Pathak as a  singer that night. They all are big fan of his singing. And then we had our civil wedding ceremony done that day.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Only thing I would like to share to the brides to be is to stay calm during the whole process of wedding planning. Every bride has a set of plans and dreams in her mind of how she wants her special day to be. So choose the right wedding planner & vendors and just go with the flow without stressing about anything. Just live and enjoy your special Day to the fullest.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Sumit had found this beautiful new venue in Downtown named Ballroom by the Bayou. Not many people know about this place as it has recently opened. It's a pretty big area with big balconies and pretty downtown view.
My reception jewellery was a beautiful uncut diamond necklace from Bhindi Jewellers. It was nothing like those standard diamond necklaces. It had beautiful modern design with nice combination of gold and diamonds with a touch of traditional design in it. This was again picked by my Mother in Law, she knows what's the best and always picks the best.

Have a wonderful day Maharanis!

Houston, TX Indian Wedding by Biyani Photography

We’re in such a cheerful mood after viewing these bright and breezy photographs of Mittali and Sumit’s lavish Indian wedding. The duo had a blissful ceremony in India but celebrated their sangeet and reception with all their loved ones in Texas! After an intimate photo shoot captured by Biyani Photography, it was time for Maharani Mittali and her Maharaja Sumit to let loose with their family and friends at their sangeet party. The bride was gorgeous as ever with makeup by Blush and Glow and a delicate pink anarkali. So lovely! Mandap Creations transformed the spacious Ballroom on the Bayou Place ballroom with a spectacular vision in mind. We adore the navy, feathered tablecloths and violet and green centerpieces displayed in stunning formation throughout the room. And kudos to the planning dream team from Electric Karma for ensuring each and every detail was executed to perfection. DJ Yogi locked the dance floor down with their fabulous sounds for all the events. Guests dined on appetizers and a specialized dinner menu catered by Bombay Brasserie, with a bounty of delicious dishes for all palettes. We have all the images by Biyani Photography from this wedding in the full gallery, so make sure you check them all out!

Dayton, OH Indian Wedding by Shan Photography

Ina and Shobhit’s lavish Indian wedding was a feast of rich tradition, color, and fashion. We especially loved the behind the scenes photos by Shan Photography of Maharani Ina adorning herself in full bridal regalia. She carefully selected the perfect red lehenga and sparkling accessories for her special day. The final result was well worth the wait! Once she was ready to walk down the aisle, she truly epitomized a glamorous Indian bride. We have to give props to Gayatri Makeup, who did a fantastic job creating the hair and makeup look and styling/draping details on the lovely bride. While Ina was readying her finishing touches, the baraat was in full swing outside. Raja Shobhit was on cloud 9 as the banging beats by DJ Mavi energized the crowd. As guests streamed inside the venue, Shobhit waited with bated breath for Ina to make her grand reveal. She was dazzling as she floated down the aisle, and during the following ceremony, loved ones blessed the couple as they embarked on their exciting adventure as husband and wife. For more behind the scenes action, we’ve assembled a full gallery of photos by Shan Photography for your enjoyment. Also, scroll below for our fun interview with Maharani Ina!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

I was definitely not prepared but they say best things happen to you when unprepared!
He proposed after having couple of drinks in the cutest way possible. He got down on his knees in the middle of a parking lot! I survived a panic attack that evening but couldn't take my eyes off him the whole time :)

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

Since childhood I dreamt of wearing a red traditional lehenga and to look as beautiful as my mom did on her wedding! And let's just say my dream came true! My outfit was imported from New Delhi, India. It has the traditional dabbka work on it and weighs approximately 100 lbs.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The Confusion!! Haha! I find confusion the most amusing and enjoyable part of the wedding. I had lots of guests traveling from all over the country so planning was a full swing, never ending process. However our family and close friends made the event a grand success.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Good food, alcohol and music sums up a North Indian, Punjabi wedding. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the two day fun filled events.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Each moment was so special, I can literally rewind and replay everything in my head. I just didn't want it to end.
However, my sister's speech and my husband's dance performance are moments I think about all the time

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Brides-to-be need to Chill, Enjoy, Laugh, Look Gorgeous!

Stop worrying and things will fall in place :)

Such great advice. We hope you have a wonderful Father's Day Weekend Maharanis!
