White Plains NY, Indian Wedding by Salwa Photography

Sajni and Amod planned a grandiose series of events in honor of their wedding celebrations at the luxurious Ritz Carlton in Westchester, NY. The experts of Touch of Elegance Events planned and prepared all the elements to bring this marvelous event for the couple and their guests to life. The mehndi celebration is one of the essential elements of a wedding and one of the pre-wedding celebrations you remember the most so our lovely couple wanted to wow their invitees with their best traditional style. Sajni opted for marigold and orange shades for her outfit and a lovely loose braid adorned with a floral tikka while her soon to be husband Amod, picked a cream silk kurta and a red-orange nehru collar jacket. Salwa Photography captured the best angles of the love-struck couple wearing their precious outfits in an eye-popping photo shoot. They did a marvelous job with their incredible talent by capturing the tiniest details of this special occasion. The venue was festooned with a unique decorative design by the genius Elegant Affairs Inc.’s crew that amazed all guests and us with their talent, creating a prismatic stage where our couple seated to receive all the blessings from their families! Check the insanely beautiful images of this one-of-a-kind pre-wedding festivities in our full gallery!

Staten Island, NY Bengali Wedding by Precious Moments NY

As part of their Bangladeshi wedding tradition and to bring their families together, Farhana & Minhaj met all their dear ones at the Haveli Indian Restaurant to celebrate their Gaye Holud night! The spirited evening was a riot of colors, had tons of bright jewel hues everywhere and a sweetheart stage was built for the momentous occasion by Ruban Events who flawlessly reflected the joy and elegance of the happy couple! Maharani Farhana used a long braid and added round off jasmine flowers around it that combined perfectly with her floral jewelry created by Flowers by Bhanu. To add extra sparkling to the night, the groom’s entourage wore purple kurtas, equally beautiful, the bridesmaids wore green emerald, and they all performed creative and joyous choreographies for the bride and groom and their families! Keeping with the tradition, sweets and gifts were exchanged and offered to the couple in beautifully decorated trays. Every highlight of this splendid night was chronicled by Precious Moments NY and you can enjoy all the vibrant images in our full gallery!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our color theme was light pink, dark green, and gold. We used those colors to arrange everything from our center pieces to the bridesmaids/groomsmen outfits. We decided to purchase our own center piece items (fresh roses, eucalyptus, lanterns, tall vases, candles, etc) and Grand Oaks happily helped us set everything up to our liking on the day of.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I have always wanted to wear white on my wedding day while staying true to my cultural roots. Finding a white Lehengha with gold details was not an easy thing to do. After checking out every single bridal in NYC, I decided to venture out to New Jersey and fell in love with the shop Nazranaa. Shia, the owner was incredibly easy to work with and she had so many options in white for me! She actually made me try on the wedding dress that I ended up buying for my big day! The lehengha I ended up purchasing from Nazranaa had a very regal and sophisticated look that I was hoping for.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We really planned everything by ourselves, and spending that time together really brought us closer together in the process. We both love to be organized and to plan ahead which made us such a good team. While planning the wedding, we were both working full time and I also started law school full time in May. So it was really hard on us but we worked extremely hard in getting everything ready. Having such a hands on fiance was really SO helpful.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved the cocktail reception which took place in an area outside which overlooked the golf-course. We received a lot of compliments on how perfect the venue was for the perfect summer day that wasn't too hot.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our first dance was to Cant Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. We wanted to plan a choreographed dance but didn't have much time to really do it. We decided to slow dance and I'm happy we did, because that moment really helped us catch our breath and enjoy the moment.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For the traditional bengali Gaye Holud night, we picked jewel toned colors as our theme. Ruban events worked really hard with us to help us design a stage that reflected our vision: a colorful but elegant affair. The hall we picked for the Holud was called Haveli Indian Restaurant went perfectly with our theme since their interior decor included gorgeous hand painted elephants and other traditional South Asian imagery.

The women on the groom side wore red saris mostly, and the men wore purple kurta pyjama sets. On the bride's side, the women all wore green and the men wore a mustard yellow color.

The women on both sides decorated trays filled with sweets and gifts to be exchanged.

The bride, groom, and their respective bridesmaids/groomsmen also performed for their guests. The groom and his friends serenaded the bride to the song "my desi girl" and the bride danced to a medley of songs: End of time by Beyonce and Navrai Majhi.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
The wedding jewelery was customized by India Trend. I was very particular about the stones, beads, and polish and they were able to customize it perfectly as I imagined!

Funny enough, my henna artist Promy is now going to be my future sister in law. My brother met her during my mehendi night and insisted that I to introduce them and now they're engaged! Her work is also out of this world!

This isn't the end of this fun loving affair! Follow up and enjoy the fabulous reception images coming up next!

Sugar Land, Texas South Indian Wedding by Tomas Ramos Photography

Sangeet is the most fun out of the celebrations prior to the wedding ceremony. All the guests have drinks, food and lots of dance and Kripa and Kirthan made of their sangeet celebration a total epic night to remember for many years to come! The wise couple recruited the incredibly talented and creative Mandap Creations’ team to decorate the Bride’s home and transformed it into an authentic spice market and the result was just absolutely breathtaking. All the elements used to create such a unique theme gave the real sensation of all the hustle + bustle of a real Indian spice market! The creative décor contributed along with the love and energy of the couple’s families, who prepared and rehearsed many dances in honor of the union. After the dance and joy, a solemn wedding ceremony sealed the union of Kripa and Kirthan and the lovely fabric draped around the mandap gave a bright and colorful vibe to the ambiance and it was the perfect background to immortalize the memorable event with tons of shots taken by Tomas Ramos Photographers & Film Production. Delight in this visual feast in our full gallery!

Phoenix, AZ Fusion Indian Wedding by Light Rain Images

We’ve finally arrived at Patricia and Prabhav’s grand finale reception extravaganza! After their gorgeous outdoor wedding celebration, the bride exchanged her lengha for a glam white bridal dress. Patricia's ethereal gown sparkled with Indian inspired embellishments, and her sartorial stylings positively took our breath away. Paired with a beaded headpiece, loose waves by Makiaj Beauty and henna by Henna by Purvi, Patricia was a perfectly timeless bride. Patricia and Prabhav’s sunny mandap was exchanged for jewel toned uplighting and a decadent white and silver wedding cake. As guests trickled into the ballroom at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, they were struck by romantic ambiance and the feeling of being transported to a more glamorous era. Kudos to the planning and design aficionados from Apropos Creations for overseeing the glamorous proceedings. The night’s entertainment was courtesy of In the Mix Entertainment who curated the perfect playlist to let loose and celebrate the couple of the hour. Guests had the time of their lives as they shimmied on the dance floor underneath the aquamarine lights. Don’t take our word for it, we have many more images by Light Rain Images awaiting you in the full gallery!

Phoenix, AZ Fusion Indian Wedding by Light Rain Images

We have no doubt that the planning and design team from Apropos Creations went above and beyond to create Patricia and Prabhav’s fairytale fusion Indian wedding event. The couple memorialized their big day with Light Rain Images, and the resulting photos are a technicolor treat. Prabhav led his baraat procession with a trusty steed from KC's Classic Carriage, signifying his joy at marrying the Maharani of his dreams. Meanwhile, Patricia was was a vision in a primary colors, henna by Henna by Purvi, and bombshell makeup by Makiaj Beauty. She was chaperoned by her adoring parents down a majestically draped aisle to her equally majestic mandap. Here at Maharani Weddings, we are massive fans of circular, open air mandaps emblazoned with fresh florals and vibrant linens, and this one was a total masterpiece! All the design elements by Apropos Creations at this ceremony will not soon be forgotten. The event ended with cheers and applause congratulating the new couple as they got ready for their reception! We have all the photos from the event brimming in the full gallery.
