Welcome, sweeties! The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, provided the perfect backdrop for Kirin & Harpreet's wedding day. Set on a cliff above the Pacific Ocean, the venue offered breathtaking views, adding to the day's romance. Their impeccable service and attention to detail ensured that the day ran smoothly and every moment was perfect. The beautiful floral decor by Square Root Designs perfectly complemented the elegant and sophisticated setting provided by the venue. Cindy Cinderella Carriages provided a genuinely memorable Baraat experience. The majestic white horse was a sight to behold and made for an incredible entrance for Harpreet. The experience was truly fit for a prince and added an element of grandeur and tradition to the wedding celebrations. The Marigold Company was responsible for planning and designing this wedding, and they did an exceptional job of bringing the couple's vision to life. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
A story is as old as time--boy and girl are introduced by family, they start talking, and six weeks into it, they find themselves embroiled in a global pandemic. With so much uncertainty and travel restrictions in place, they had to get creative to get to know each other. We bonded over our mutual interests in medicine and healthcare and their passion for sports; Harpreet with his love for football, Tom Brady, and the Patriots, and me with my love for baseball and basketball (most notably the Dodgers and Lakers).
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
In June 2021, Harpreet surprised me with a proposal at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, and boy was I surprised! After much thought and planning, he coordinated with my family (especially my sister-in-law, Shagun) to get me down to San Diego and to the proposal. Thinking that we were headed to dinner to celebrate my brother Harpreet's graduation from a cardiology fellowship, I stumbled upon an intricately planned proposal. A sign with my name on it, hand-plucked rose petals leading to a waterfront picnic, adorned with floral arrangements made by Harpreet, and a charcuterie board. As I finally exited the car and followed the path of rose petals, Harpreet met me in the middle, rose in hand, and the rest is history!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
With experience from being a part of planning for my brother's wedding, I had the groundwork for what vendors I had already known about. I knew that I wanted to try and do an outdoor Sikh ceremony, so the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel was a perfect venue with a breathtaking backdrop. We had considered utilizing different venues for all of the events, but eventually just did everything in the same place for convenience. I had been following Dolled Up By Lulu on Instagram and always loved their looks, so I went with them. I wore a Seema Gujral Anarkali that we actually found online and got ordered. In terms of decor for the Wedding and Reception, I had always had an affinity for flowers, and we got blessed with Square Root Designs. I told them that I wanted an enchanted garden meets Monet, and they had carte blanche. It was a dream! Another key detail was the incorporation of Coke bottles at each place setting at the reception as a tribute to my paternal grandfather, who was the Director of Research & Development at Coca-Cola for many years. Getting 400 bottles of Coca-Cola turned out to be our biggest obstacle, but with the help of our family, we were able to secure them all!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My wedding outfit took a while, as I didn't really have any idea of what I wanted. We wandered Pioneer Blvd in Artesia and identified some good options. When we walked into Shyamal & Bhumika, we roamed through their options before my Dad saw a lengha on a mannequin that he insisted I try on. Everyone really loved how it looked and the embroidery on it, and they told us that it could be in any color we wanted. I ended up getting it made in almost a dusty pink rose color.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think our guests really loved how ethereal everything turned out and how family-oriented everything was. Our goal was not to make every event a show. We wanted it to be organic and have the opportunity to meet everyone and thank them for coming. We wanted everyone to have fun, and we wanted to be a part of it instead of being guests at our own wedding!
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Charlotte, NC Indian Wedding by Bhowmik Dave Films & Photography

Good morning ladies! Today we kick off the last month of the year with a beautiful wedding filled with emotions and bliss! Sonal and Karan's nuptials are just what they dreamed of and more. They meticulously planned and organized a lovely series of functions at the Hilton Charlotte Airport. This exclusive location's splendor served as the setting for a Sangeet festivity, a traditional ceremony, and a glamorous reception night. Floral artwork and decor for all events were in charge of Ketan Shah. Her team created every décor detail, from the intricate reception stage drapery to the romantic ceremony mandap that framed the wedding rituals. The talented Bhowmik Dave Films & Photography captured all these unique details. Their camera registered all this grandeur and created an inspiring photo album so our newlyweds can look back at their happy memories whenever they desire! To mark the beginning of a new life chapter in style, Maharani Sona opted for a series of bridal outfits that displayed stunning motifs and exquisite patterns expertly crafted and designed by Ritu SelectsAsian Divas' glam squad created each makeup look to enchant her Raja, while Henna4Happiness by Minaz created the perfect paisleys and figures of her bridal Mehndi. I love that all her styles were classic while still being glamorous! Karan's attires were equally stylish. This groom channeled his inner Maharaja for his ceremony by wearing stunning outfits in rich red hues for his traditional ceremonies and wore an elegant dinner jacket for the reception. I am sure these looks will inspire you, Maharanis! The pair treated their guests to a reception beyond all expectations with an epic dance party and a delicious feast, thanks to Mr Paanwala and Madz Bakery! Want to see more? How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I knew he was the one when I first came down to Pittsburgh only to have a delayed flight! I was supposed to come in at 6 pm and instead came home at midnight. When I walked in he had this whole dinner at home set up, with plates and red napkins and candles! He even cooked the perfect meal!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
What I thought would be a fancy lunch date on top of the mountain turned out to be the man of my dreams popping the question! Somehow he got me dressed up, got my nails done, and got to on a gondola without any suspicion. When he got to the location on the top, I saw the proposal set up, and I said to him, "Oh, look, someone is getting proposed to; we can't go there" I tried to stop him many many times from going closer and closer to the site. It clicked to me when the violist started playing the Wada Raha song that this proposal was for me! He proposed, and everyone around the site cheered, and then 5 mins later our whole family showed up! Literally all of them from all over the states!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I started planning in the middle of COVID, thinking it would go away. But all of my vendors were really nice and willing to work with me. We originally had a July date, but due to restrictions in other countries, we had to push back our date to December. Our vendors were flexible in making the change without any issues. I started off booking my make-up artist Drea first! We only had our date at this point. Then I went on to book my venue and wedding planner at the same time. The rest fell in place one by one!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
This was really hard since I was not able to go to India and new outfits were not coming to the states. I knew I wanted to wear red. The first store we went to was Frontier in LA. I tried on a few but really fell in love with one of them. But I knew I should try more when I went to NY and NJ. So a few months later I went around and tried on more, sometimes I tried them on just to entertain myself and see if I liked anything I wore! But all I could think of was that outfit I really liked. The week after I told my mom to just go purchase the one I really liked and she face timed me and we bought it!
I also wanted to wear my mom's wedding sari or try to incorporate it into my outfit somehow! The final look didn't come together till the week before but I decide to wear it with a white choli as my baarat outfit. This was super special because my mom and I did a little welcome dance as well.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They all said they loved the food and coming to California even though the weather wasn't the best!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Every time I look at our highlight video all of the memories just rush in now! I think the most fun I had was during our pithi and sangeet night. We did a flash mob during the sangeet and it was the most amazing thing ever that came together!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Pithi: The theme for this event was Capri/lemon. The team did an amazing job making the ganpathi in various blue sea items!
Satak: The idea was to go with something peaceful and serenity. So we decided to do a lotus in the background with cherry trees coming from the side.
Sangeet: The theme was Jaipur. I called this event Pink City Soriee on our invites.
Wedding: All white with greenery
Reception: I wanted to bring back a little bit of the proposal to bring in a full circle of this time period. We added a mountain decal on our dance floor with red and purple flowers through out the backdrop and tables.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy it all! Try not to worry too much about small details and small fights with your parents. Go with the flow and enjoy it because it won't come again.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Riviera Maya, Mexico Indian Fusion Wedding by Bella Lumi

Hello, Maharanis! Today we are going to take you on a trip to the paradisiac Riviera Maya, Mexico for you to join Jessica & Ronak's wedding. This time, it was the impressive and majestic Hard Rock Riviera Maya that hosted this memorable and once-in-a-lifetime event. Definitely, this complex is a perfect combination of exclusive and luxurious architecture with a paradisiacal and majestic natural environment. With the sea and the sunset as the background, and with the lovely ornaments and floral arrangements that Grupo Gama and The Storybook Event put together, there is no denying that this was the perfect scenario for them to say "I do" in front of their family and friends. However, it was our gorgeous Jessica who stole all the looks. She looked stunning in her beautiful gown, undoubtedly a fabulous and fashionable design that was exquisitely made by Anita Dongre. And what about the wonderful hairstyle and makeup that Blush & Glow created for this occasion, it was spectacular! The hairstyle combined volume and smoothness which was perfect for an outdoor ceremony as it allowed the hair to have delicate and beautiful movements without losing the style, and this look was very well complemented with discreet makeup that praised the adorable and captivating smile of our beautiful Maharani. Thanks to Bella Lumi we get to show you a peek at the most splendid moments that happened during this one-of-a-kind event. The fireworks thanks to Pyro Tech lightened the sky and one of the most anticipated moments of the evening took place when our lovebirds had their first dance as husband and wife thanks to the versatile Desi Junction DJs who played the most beautiful melodies, this moment will forever be recalled in the memory of all the spectators. Hands down the entire wedding festivities were a total hit! But there is no surprise here as this couple decided to have Shaadi Destinations as their ally to take their wedding celebration to the next level. If you want to dive into this beautiful celebration of love, don't miss the gallery that we have for you.
