Dana Point, CA Contemporary Fusion Wedding by Max & Friends

Welcome back, dolls! After a heartwarming ceremony by the sea, the exclusive The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel was waiting for the guests and newlyweds for a celebration for the books. Maharani Anju changed attires and for the reception, she rocked this gorgeous dark brown-toned saree that I just loved. You don't often see that color and fabric but it suited our bride perfectly. And what about the person who swept our Maharani of her feet? Raja Adnan was the definition of elegance, to say the least. We are so loving these two, you can tell! Their taste is to die for, just look at that decor! Kudos to the team of White Lilac INC. for a gorgeous scenography! So, ladies, you know what time it is! Gallery time, thanks to Max & Friends! See you there!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met online on shaadi.com and we talked for two weeks straight before we met in San Francisco!  He happened to be on a road trip to see the Eclipse and we spoke for hours when he was driving.  On our first date, he took me to a beautiful restaurant and for a walk along the water.  Two days later, he picked me up and took me to a sound healing session with yoga mats.  I knew by the end of the time talking and the two dates that we had a huge connection and that we fit in many different ways.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me to the bodega bay lodge and when we checked in, the person was like - “It was so nice spending so much time talking to you on the phone.”  I thought that was strange.  We went to the room and there were chocolate strawberries and champagne, so I started getting excited.  The next day he booked massages and took me to a really nice dinner.  Nothing.  So I thought maybe I was wrong.  After we checked out of the hotel, we went on a hike to the top of bodega bay and he bent down on one knee and proposed.  I ran down the hill to call my sister and then we stopped at a fish and chips store at the bottom of the hill. One of the sweetest meals ever!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I’ve always loved the Ritz Carlton in laguna and have wanted to get married there since I was little.  We wanted to have the wedding ceremony overlooking the ocean and then move inside for dinner.  Bliss productions was our planner and we had a great time working together.  Flowers were done by White Lilac and the colors were pink, cream and gold.  Our invitations were made by Tange design and I loved them.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I loved the moments with my family.  My mom, who is eighty, went with me to try on dresses with my sister and niece.  It was so special to have them all there.  My sister threw me a gorgeous bridal shower with so many thoughtful details.  It was just all the family closeness that was really special.  I also loved taking dancing lessons with my husband and practicing the dance.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They loved the Indian dance performers!!!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
After the ceremony, we went down to the beach to take photos with the three dogs and the sun was setting.  The dress and veil got drenched in mud but it was such a special time between us, just newly married.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Be grateful for those who are present with you in the process.  Pick the two things that matter to you and let the rest go.  I picked - getting to marry Adnan and I was so grateful my mom and dad were both there to watch, considering they were both 80.  Knowing what mattered, made everything else easy.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I loved so many of the details.  The wedding invite had bees and sea horses because those are two things my husband loves.  Our cake topper had metal cutouts of all three dogs, all three dogs walked down the aisle and my husband's dog wore a scarf that said: “I loved him first.” Our gifts for guests was “Fuzzys Honey.”  My husband's dog is named Fuzzy and he makes honey, so it was a sweet gift.  We had a gold confetti canon which was a fun surprise.  And one of my favorite design elements was that the tables for dinner were clear, filled with water and had petals inside!

Amazing wasn't it? Stay for more!

Cancun, MX Indian Wedding by Pixan Photography

After a ceremony full of heartfelt moments, love, and ocean breeze, our newlyweds knew it was time to celebrate the milestone big time. The Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa also housed the reception and our lovebirds couldn't have found a more enchanting place. It was looking totally amazing like always. The inviting dance floor lights attracted everyone and that was a clear sign that the party was about to begin and the couple about to arrive. You might think that after a long day of rushing emotions, Maharani Preeti's hair and makeup needed touch-ups. Well... think twice because MVP Hair & Make-Up Artistry's amazing job made sure that not an ounce of glam was lost throughout the day. Our bride was glowing at all times with her undeniable beauty! Want to see more, ladies? Join us one more time in the gorgeous picture gallery, coming to us from Cancun and thanks to Pixan Photography's talented lens. Let's get right into it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Preeti and Giovanni's adventure began in 2008. On an outing with mutual friends, Giovanni couldn't help but be drawn in. Fast-forward through many late night phone calls and countless reruns of Finding Nemo, they became high school sweethearts embarking on their first chapter as a couple as they began college apart. A decade and one cat later, they have since experienced many more chapters of their lives together. From snowboarding to skydiving, traveling and scuba diving, whitewater rafting and lots of camping, Preeti and Gio love adventures and are ecstatic for the many adventures to come!

The surprise proposal took place in Newport, Rhode Island. Preeti had been drawn away for a "girls weekend" with her two best girlfriends. What Preeti thought was a dinner at a posh restaurant on Narragansett Sound turned out to be something far more memorable. On the Launch, confused why the boat had stopped, she turned around to see a set of sails eclipsed by the beautiful fall sunset. Surrounded by petals and candles, Giovanni stood at the bow with a bouquet of flowers and a little box. As Preeti approached, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes and the rest is history.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I purchased my wedding dress from Pronovias. From my first fitting, I absolutely loved their style and knew I was getting married in a Pronovias dress. I wanted something classic and fitted, but not too glam for a wedding on the beach.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I loved everything about the planning process. I'm a planner so thinking through all the details was so exciting for me.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think they loved how laid-back everything was. It was all about my guests having fun, dancing, eating, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment when everyone was seated for dinner. Giovanni and I were seated at our sweetheart table and that pretty much the only moment we really had alone for the full day. We were able to take in the surroundings, the decor and watch our guests enjoy the food and mingle.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Make private time with your husband-to-be a priority. It can be fun (and get a bit overwhelming) with so many guests around, but be sure to focus on getting some alone time so you can enjoy together.

See you tomorrow, dolls!

Cancun, MX Indian Wedding by Pixan Photography

We absolutely love beachfront weddings. There is always something magical when the peaceful ocean is the witness of the everlasting love our couples promise to each other. It can also be hectic and that is the beauty of marriages. Being there for your significant other through thick and thin. This time around, we take a trip to the paradisiac Cancun in Mexico to witness the highlights of Preeti & Giovanni's sun-fueled nuptials thanks to Pixan Photography's amazing work. The Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa indeed lived up to its name and hosted the dreamed bash of our lovebirds. Palm trees, sand, family, and love all came together to celebrate Preeti & Giovanni's commitment. Stunning Maharani Preeti showed up wearing a long white gown with beautiful lace details that totally mesmerized our Raja Giovanni. MVP Hair & Make-Up Artistry made her look even more enchanting, working with her hair and makeup and the result? A true Maharani princess! The magical nuptials were totally in tune with the overall freshness of the ocean's breeze over the tropical mandap, and we are just loving it! So stick around and check our gallery, ladies, inspiration is assured!
