Nassau, Bahamas Fusion Wedding by Le Cape Weddings Photo

Happy Tuesday, beautiful Maharanis! We hope you are ready to dive into a new love story because we are about to unveil Nishma & Brandon's wedding bash in the Bahamas. They held their wedding at the stunning Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. This spectacular beach resort is on the pristine Cable Beach, Nassau. With step-in and full balconies overlooking the magnificent beach, they could not ask for a better setting! The outstanding work of Sabrina Hans Events created an elegant atmosphere that set the mood for this wedding. We love the fancy floral arrangements that Wildflowers created and the magnificent work with the scheme of lights that was able to keep up with the different activities that took place during the evening. Our lovebirds could not have wished for a better scenario to celebrate with their family and friends. Nishma looked stunning in her beautiful white dress for the wedding ceremony. Undoubtedly a fabulous and fashionable design made by Priya ChhabriaRabani & Rakha, and Raaz Couture. And what about the beautiful makeup by Lina Zuniga and the hairstyle that Dayana Denis created for this occasion? It was spectacular! The hairstyle and makeup combined with the fantastic Mehndi by Priya Shah praised this Maharani's innate beauty, making her look like a princess. After the wedding ceremony, it was time to party with Premier DrummersEssence Band, and Willis and the Illest Reggae Band. Everyone in the room danced the night out, only stopping to taste the delicious food and treats from Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. And it is thanks to the lens of Le Cape Weddings Photo & Cinema we can enjoy this celebration of love. If you want more of this incredible wedding, head into today's gallery! It is inspirational and full of colors, you will surely love it!

How did you meet your Groom, and when did you know he was "the one"?
We were classmates in college and were working on a class project together. That was a foundation for all of it. I liked how things were going between us, and l always admired his behavior and how he talked. But it was more of a friendship still by the end of our project and college. Later we both went into different jobs but were still in touch at the surface level. After 1.5 years, by sheer coincidence, we both decided to pursue masters in the USA. He went to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and I went to the University of North Carolina Charlotte. By the time we started in the USA, we were looking for each other, given that we both had no friends. We became much closer by texting each other all through the day and late at night while still being busy with our student lives in a new country. In all those chats, being there for each other and with the already existing friendship between us, eventually, I figured out he would be the right partner for me.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
As mentioned, we became closer and attached in the masters; it was funnily in the WhatsApp chats that I proposed to him, and to which he replied that he had the same thought in his mind.
Tell us how you planned your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all the other essential details.
Planning for our wedding has been an extensive three-month process.  But later realized that was very short compared to what most couples do. So with the wedding date in May, we started planning in January by looking for wedding venues (the biggest to-do). It was almost a three-week search, and we first realized that people serve wedding venues as early as 18 months. Another interesting fact we learned is that venues charge per guest rate even without including food catering. That changed the way we searched for media. Right from the beginning, we wanted to pick a platform that could offer a destination wedding theme rather than a regular banquet hall. So finally, we found our dream and most memorable venue "The plaza" at Daytona Beach, FL. We can proudly say The plaza was the best thing that happened at our wedding. Now, after the wedding venue search, we had to look for places for other accompanying events like Haldi, sangeet, etc. Since we stay in Sanford and the wedding venue is in Daytona beach, we wanted these venues for Haldi and sangeet to be in and around Sanford. Luckily we found a great Airbnb (it allowed us to have the event) and a banquet hall, "The Lair Venue," for Haldi and sangeet respectively.  Being in Florida, searching for makeup artists suitable for south Indian style weddings was little challenging.  After an extensive search across Instagram, Facebook, and different friends,  I found "stylebymounika" from Atlanta. We chose "Forever Flowers Events" for our decoration at the wedding venue. We are really thankful to them for making the event most beautiful and memorable for us. It was very easy to find them, and we stuck with them even before picking our venue. Regarding outfits, apart from my husband's sangeet outfit, the rest were all brought by my family from India. Most of the dresses/sarees and other outfits were done by boutiques, and we had to choose the design and the right colors.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I visited India a couple of months before and had shopping in Hyderabad(India) for wedding dresses. The main saree is pink in color on which I had all the rituals performed before actually getting the knot tied. It is bought from the 'SAI KANCHI' store in banjara hills. I always have a special place for Purple and pink colors, which made me choose the second saree, a mix of gold color and purple border. I wore this saree for all the rituals to be performed after getting the knot tied and becoming Mrs. Sunkara.
All the other outfits for the Bridal ceremony, Sangeet, Mehendi, Haldi are from boutiques like Tasya Couture, Kadhambari Studio.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Having to plan and spend everything was the most exciting part of the planning process. Because, unlike our scenario, in most weddings, the parents and family work hard during weddings. But in our marriage, we were the hosts, and we worked hard and enjoyed every moment of planning and coordination. It was a meticulous process, as everything had to be so perfect and also beautiful. So I would say making every decision ourselves and having to do all the planning ourselves was the most enjoyable part.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
As said earlier, The plaza was the most beautiful thing that happened at our Wedding. Also, the wedding decor combined with the beach-themed venue was one thing that all our guests loved about our wedding.
Also, as said above, planning and setting up every event meticulously was another thing all our guests loved and praised.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
R. We are also really thankful to all our friends for making our dream come true. Without their help, we couldn't have pulled it together.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
All the events other than the wedding ceremony are performed at Airbnb and Lair Venue(Banquet Hall in Sanford, FL). We have chosen our decoration backdrop ideas and provided them to a local decorator contractor. Dances, fun, and games are organized only with the help of friends. There used to be many sleepless nights having dance practice sessions, and organizing things. We enjoyed every bit of it. Those were the most unforgettable memories.  Also, we planned our pre-wedding shoot a month before in Newyork which turned out really well. Those pictures were very cute, and we still cherish them.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don't ever stop dreaming and planning for your marriage. No matter how good things may get or how bad things may seem, just keep working at it. Plan ahead all the things. This is a special moment in your life. This is a unique group of people that you will have in one location at one time. Enjoy every bit of it.
When it is all said and done, your flowers may not be perfect, and your sangeet party may be hung over from the night before but once you walk down the aisle, you will forget about all of that and have the best day of your life. Cheers to all the Brides-To-Be.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Jewellery shopping is from India. Mehendi was beautifully done by 'Gokulshennaart.' The cake is from 'Bake A Wish -Orlando Cakes.'It was 2 step cake with mixed flavors of chocolate and Pineapple flavors.
We hope that you have enjoyed this journey as much as we have! Remember to stay close for more!

Riviera Maya, Mexico Fusion Wedding by Film Art Studio

Elizabeth and Justin opted for a seaside celebration, and we are beyond delighted to bring you all the details! This lovely pair went for a romantic gateway in Cancun, got engaged in this tropical paradise, and finally made it their wedding destination! Indian Destination Wedding helped the duo find the perfect five-star resort in the heart of the Mayan Riviera to celebrate their fusion affair. The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya's private beach was the spot for Elizabeth and Justin to throw an oceanside wedding Celebration. Their fun-filled Madhuramveppu festivities kicked off the spree that ended with a fantastic firework show! For this occasion, Maharani Elizabeth flaunted her best traditional style wearing a beautiful Kerala saree paired with an intricate mehendi design created by Loto Mehndi. Meanwhile, Justin also chose the traditional groom's dress and donned elegant white and gold colors. Throwing a destination wedding of this scale requires some careful planning and experience. Thankfully the couple had Pyaar Planning orchestrating the functions as mother nature had other plans on their big day. A tropical heavy rain and thunderstorms made them change the ceremony spot to an indoor locale. "As the moment I hit the aisle all of our guests screamed and cheerleaded as I walked down! It meant the world to us knowing they supported us through the rain and shine." Elizabeth says. This time, Maharani Elizabeth wore a stunning strapless mermaid gown she accessorized with a long delicate veil and a lovely bouquet while her entourage joined her wearing pink sarees. While Styling Trio kept her makeup soft and natural. After exchanging vows, the celebration continued with a fabulous reception where All Culture DJS made the newlyweds dance the night away. Film Art Studio was there to watch them have the time of their life on the happiest day of their lives, capturing it all in a beautiful series of images you can't miss! All the couples planning their own big destination affair, please scroll down and visit our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Engaged to my greatest blessing.
Our journey began as a classic love at first sight. Justin walked past me one night on the streets of Houston and we immediately locked eyes, and stared unapologetically. He stopped with some friends nearby and after several obvious mutual glances, I saw him walk towards me and wave. Smiling ear to ear, we approached and walked directly to one another, meeting halfway (the first of many meetings halfway, literally.)
We knew on our first date, a week later, we found our forever.
Though our story started as a Bollywood fairytale, it brought no shortages in major trials and tribulations. So incredibly grateful we survived 5.5 years of our LDR, and actively chose each other. Ecstatic to start this new chapter with my soulmate and best friend.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Justin and I decided to finally vacation to Cancun following a long drawn-out period of quarantine and he proposed to me on the beach in Mexico where we later decided to also get married.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Once we decided on a destination wedding in Mexico, we hired fing to help us find the resort that matched our needs — Hard Rock Riviera Maya. We hired the majority of house vendors and we’re thoroughly impressed and satisfied.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Wedding dress - for those who knew me, fitness is a huge part of my identity and given how much time I spend in the gym, it's no surprise I chose a body form-fitting dress — mermaid style with a train.
In terms of reception lehenga, I prefer nude/pastel shades so chose a blinged-out light baby pink that complimented the custom lehengas I had designed for my bridesmaids.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Knowing that in spite of the stress, uncertainties, and changes during the process - my constant and one certainty remained my fiancé and now husband. Wedding planning evokes a roller coaster of emotions and challenges, but it’s important to not lose sight of why you’re enduring it in the first place.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Both my husband and I felt immensely grateful to all 200 of our guests who flew from all over the world (Australia, India, UK, Dubai, US) to Mexico to attend our wedding, so we invested a great deal in our entertainment - fire show/water drum show, fireworks, dhol player, mehendi artists for the guest, harpist, and violinist, etc. I’d say they enjoyed that the most. :)
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment the fireworks went off during our madhuramveppu and everyone’s face lit up and jumped with joy. Our friends literally lifted us up all night on the dance floor!
Also, we got hit with unprecedented heavy rain and thunderstorms 30 minutes before our beach ceremony so consequently, we had to change locations on the shortest of notice. The vendors pulled together and moved everything within 30 minutes and momentarily the sun came out. The stress was palpable and evidently, our loved ones felt our pain, as the moment I hit the aisle all of our guests screamed and cheerleaded as I walked down! It meant the world to us knowing they supported us through the rain and shine.

Cancun, MX Destination Indian Wedding by Federico Salmeron Photography

Happy Tuesday, ladies! We are so excited to unveil the perfect gateway in Cancun, Mexico. Rati and Shaunak's big Indian wedding was a fun, big traditional bash and, of course, a unique life experience. Dream Shaadi planned and crafted this destination wedding following the couple's vision and making it a reality. While Indian Destination Weddings' team did an extraordinary job helping arrange all customized travel activities for the couple and their loved ones! The happily ever after started with a colorful Garba night and a charming Haldi ceremony. And a tropical theme party welcomed their family and friends to Cancún! The couple used The Grand at Moon Palace resort's multiple event areas and private beach for their various festivities. I love the beach ceremony! It was a magical waterfront event with picturesque views of a turquoise ocean. Maharani Rati flaunted a collection of stunning outfits. However, the red lehenga she wore for her beach féte was the holly grail of her bridal trousseaus. The exquisite embroidery combined with her heavy jewelry worked exceptionally well. Shaunak was the ultimate Raja for the sun-soaked ceremony and looked incredibly dapper for the reception gala, modeling a red tie and loafers that popped against a deep purple jacket! I love his style. Dynasty AVE deejayed and made revelers dance to the beat of the best Bollywood beats amidst an idyllic decor. A champagne lady hanging on a hoop got drinks to the guests, and a fantastic three-tier cake added a touch of glam to the bash! Photographer Federico Salmeron Photography captured Rati and Shaunak's big days on Mexico's lush beaches, so you better don't miss our favorite moments of this elaborate destination wedding in our gallery
