Houston, TX Indian Wedding by Bella Lumi

Hey there Maharanis! Today we extend our coverage on the creative work of Bella Lumi with another delightful Indian wedding that will truly captivate your hearts. Michelle and Lavin are the epitome of the perfect, enchanting couple. I remember shopping for my wedding lengha and how exciting and stressful the task quickly became. But, I am sure the minute Michelle lay her eyes on her red and gold, one of a kind, designer piece, it was a wrap! I love when brides opt for colors other than red, but then I just realize how much I love this hue on Indian brides! Dipti Patel of Mandap Creations has managed to capture our hearts once again by designing a one of a kind mandap. My favorite element of this gorgeous structure was the whimsical background complete with the hanging blooms. The Hilton Post Oak has hosted many over the top Indian weddings and Michelle and Lavin's was certainly no exception! Planning and design were executed by the talented staff of Electric Karma International who blows us away with each and every Indian wedding they present to our editorial team. Get lost in all the pretty with these stunning images by Brenda Lopez of Bella Lumi in our gallery right now!

Somerset, NJ Indian Wedding by Lightyear Studio

For Saloni and Parth’s reception gala, the party took place inside the lavish ballroom at The Marigold. Once again, Anand Flowers and Nirali Decor brought the couple's wedding visions to life, with decadent decor in hues of green, fuchsia, and coral, accented by royal golden furniture, enormous orchid floral arrangements, and oodles of candles. Maharani Saloni couldn’t have been lovelier in a fashion-forward mint gown with a full champagne skirt that was perfect to twirl around on the dance floor in. She wore her hair in a glamorous half up bouffant, with airbrushed makeup by Rita Suthar - Mystique Salon. The couple sat center stage as dear family and friends spoke about how much they adored the newlyweds! They then had their beautiful first dance as husband and wife, and the photos captured by Lightyear Studio are truly magical. Afterwards, guests chowed down on delicious Indian food catered by Chand Palace, and then the dance-loving guests were ready to get the reception hall rocking with the finest in Bollywood and bhangra moves until the wee hours of the morning. Please check out the full gallery by Lightyear Studio to relive all the action. And read on for some behind the scenes scoop from Maharani Saloni herself!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Parth planned an escape the room proposal! He somehow without me knowing/finding out brought together my family and friends and hid the ring in the last clue. I was completely in shock as it was so unexpected and of course I said YES!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

A lot of Pinterest-ing to get ideas but the real work was done by the amazing vendors.  I wanted a romantic garden look with a lot of candles and Nirali delivered!!  Our photographers, Lightyear studios, did an amazing job capturing all the little details from the events!  I still can’t stop watching the same day edit!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

My bridal shopping was done in India.  I wanted the traditional red and white lengha but with a  modern look.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

Although wedding planning can be quite stressful, seeing everything come together is definitely worth all the planning!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Don’t stress about the little stuff and remember to enjoy every single moment!!

Have a fab evening lovelies!

Akron, OH Indian Fusion Wedding by Making the Moment

We are back with more from the wonderful wedding celebration of Carmen and Fenil, spearheaded by Elegant Events by Maria. For this grand finale event, the royal color combination of gold and violet were blended beautifully by the floral and decor aficionados from Farah and Nour and Wildflower by Klaus. From the sequined draped sweetheart stage to the bursting lavender centerpieces, the ambiance was absolutely mesmerizing. The bride donned a beautiful, flowing gown with lace embellishments and a sparkling tiara fit for a Maharani! The reception party included sentimental dances and hilarious speeches that had the crowd simultaneously in tears and in hysterical stitches. Soon, DJ Kanaan set up their luminescent turntables, and guests danced into the wee hours of the morning. What a banging party! Congratulations to the gorgeous duo of Carmen and Fenil on embarking on this incredible journey together. Making the Moment captured every beautiful moment, and we’ve collected our favorites in the full gallery for your perusal.

Akron, OH Indian Fusion Wedding by Making the Moment

Carmen and Fenil had not just one, but TWO grand ceremonies in Akron, OH. They held both a traditional Indian ceremony, followed by an Orthodox Christian wedding. Throughout the proceedings, Maharani Carmen looked like a dream. We’re swooning over her ornate burgundy lehenga featuring all the trimmings, including sparkling jewels, swirling henna, and a perfectly pinned dupatta. Fenil also resembled a regal Prince in his champagne sherwani and majestic turban. The ambiance for their Hindu ceremony was pure royalty, with Elegant Events by Maria, Farah and Nour and Wildflower by Klaus dreaming up shimmering draping, lush blooms, and golden columns for the monumental occasion. After the couple completed their Jai Mala ceremony and were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., they were whisked off to prepare for their next ceremony! Carmen was a vision of grace in her white dress and twinkling tiara. The photos by Making the Moment at the altar, with Carmen's dress cascading behind her, are breathtaking! Here at Maharani Weddings, we are huge fans of dramatic trains and veils, and think a lengthy, custom designed veil is a wonderful way to elevate any bridal look. Maharaja Fenil also looked dapper in a crisp tux, and he couldn’t tear his eyes away from his radiant bride. You can experience all the beauty in the full gallery by the incredible Making the Moment!
