With Puja and Vikesh, it was all about that classic romance. Singhar by Ayesha was the exemplary makeup artist that dolled up our bride for her Indian wedding reception. The bride looked flawless in shiny locks and glowing skin! No Indian wedding reception would be complete without that breathtaking decor! Finding that stupendous decor team is crucial to a successful Indian wedding reception. Your guests will be sitting in a venue that just needs to be decked out, so securing that decor vendor is climacteric. Abhishek Decorators have been shimmering up venues as far as we can remember. Consistency is key and the team at Abhishek Decorators is consistently Ah-mazing! Tulsi Restaurant dished out all the yummy eats as guests fueled up to hit the dance floor with DJ Gaurav on the turntables. Currently on my playlist on Pandora are ancient Bollywood beats and Puja’s Indian wedding is taking me back! Old world Indian culture meets modern sophistication in today’s Platinum Guide feature by Ishan Fotografi! Singhar by Ayeha is singing my tune and glammed out our bride with all the classic beauty modifications my heart could desire! Bold red lips, an elegant coiffed updo and that elegantly draped lengha is speaking to me! Abhishek Decorators ensured the spacious ballroom was decked out in the most colorful of decor and a colorful mandap sat front of center, creating the most fabulous focal point for all the images I have handpicked down below. The coordinator for the events at the Hanover Marriott was Teresa Gaspar who we are sure had her hands full for the day! However, these gorgeous images by Ishan Fotografi, we are sure, made it all worth it in the end! After the emotional ceremony of Ami and Josh, guests were ready to kick the party back into high gear! The reception venue at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch was absolutely decked out in the height of sophistication with mesmerizing floral arrangements and decor by Shawna Yamamoto Event Designs, and every detail was planned to perfection by Planning Elegance. Maharani Ami was a vision of grace in a periwinkle lehenga and artful hair and makeup by My Fair Bride. As we perused the gorgeous photos by Matei Horvath Photography, our jaws dropped when we came across the couple’s appetizer and dessert table by Monsoon Group Catering. There were sweets ranging from strawberry parfaits to gulab jamuns artfully arranged to resemble the most mouthwatering works of art. Oh, and did we mention they offered pani puri shots? Yum. Maharanis, definitely check out the full gallery if you’d like some wedding inspiration for your own reception dessert/snack bar! When the newlyweds made their joyous entrance into the hall, they performed a gorgeous first dance and guests cheered with delight. Soon after, Special Occasions DJ & Lighting brought the house down with the latest and greatest Bollywood hits, and the dance floor was packed with onlookers celebrating the glowing newlyweds! We were immediately smitten by the adorable couple of Ami and Josh and their colorful wedding celebrations! This darling twosome are so in love, and we cooed in delight over their first look on the serene grounds of the Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Too precious! Luckily, we were able to witness plenty more of the couple’s smiles and sweet glances in the ceremony photos by Matei Horvath Photography, where the couple recited beautifully traditional vows proclaiming their love and devotion to one another. We’re dazzled by every detail present at the events - from the breezy mandap by Shawna Yamamoto Event Designs to Josh rocking his baraat in a funky rickshaw from LA Rickshaw. Maharani Ami glowed in hair and makeup, mehndi, and styling by My Fair Bride, and a dazzling red lehenga that made her resemble a Bollywood Queen. This wedding was coordinated to absolute perfection, and we’re sure the planners and designers at Planning Elegance were a great help in making sure every detail fell into place! We continue on with Vibha and Kaushal’s Indian wedding with the pretty in pink theme reception at the Alee Temple. For the reception party, the bride kept it modern with a trendy lengha in shades of champagne pink and gold. She customized it a bit more with adding precious stones and diamonds to give it that shine that leaps off the screen! Anmol Kismet Weddings transformed the venue into a romantic haven with ivory blooms and towering gold candelabras. These two elements just made the ballroom glisten with class. I am absolutely in love with the customized wedding cake! Wicked Cakes of Savannah took the bride’s vision up a notch with this decadent dessert that showcased the story of our couple. The bottom layer was when the couple met, middle layer was the proposal, and top layer was the wedding! My eyes are full of hearts! DJ Raaz Entertainment ensured the crowd was rock and rolling on the dance floor. And as you can see, all the guests had a good ol’ time! The bride offers a piece of advice: "Wedding planning is a 50/50 if both you and your to be give 100% it will all work out and be stress free and enjoyable."
