Shawna and Ahad had a wedding straight out of a fairytale at the most magical place on earth - Walt Disney World! Their ceremony and reception took place at the Swan & Dolphin Disney Resort, which featured beautiful spaces for events and portraits by NSPG Media! For her ceremony, Shawna was a lovely, traditional bride in white lace, and transformed into a sizzling navy and gold lehenga for her reception. To carry out the event's fairytale theme, the radiant newlyweds were brought into the reception in a floral adorned carriage - Their entrance couldn't have been cuter! Planning, floral, and decor was executed by Dreams to Reality, who definitely lived up their name as they transformed the space to resemble a storybook castle, resplendent with gleaming chandeliers and rich floral and crystal centerpieces. Flickering candles adorned every surface, which gave a soft, mysterious effect to the event. We'll be posting details about all the action at Shawna and Ahad's action-packed reception which featured catering by Tabla Caterers and entertainment by Xclusive Dee Jays, but while you wait, check out the full gallery below!

We return to the Cabo del Sol for Maharani Tina’s wedding ceremony and reception planned and designed to perfection by Destination Desi. Bridal Henna Beauty was brought on for dual duties and arrived early afternoon to glam the bride for her big day. Makeup artist Suzanne Morel was also brought to helm all beauty rituals for the bridesmaids. The bride wore a stark burgundy and gold velvet lengha with matching gold jewelry. The wedding ceremony was held beach side in an open blush pink and cream mandap designed by VVRPRO. After the gorgeous ceremony commenced, it was party time! The open quarters of the Cabo del Sol not only is engulfed with tropical romance, but serves as an excellent venue to host a party facing the Mexican waters. The groom only had one request and that was a rocking dancefloor! DJ Ricardo brought the rhythm to this party with a one of a kind platform that epitomized the saying “the dance floor was lit up.” DJ Skillz from DJ Riz Entertainment brought Bollywood infusion to the Mexican waters! Our Platinum Guide member always brings fusion to any wedding they DJ and is a must for a thumping dance floor! The bride danced the night away in a one of a kind blue and silver ombre lengha that has us just swooning with glee! Here at Maharani Weddings we have discovered that destination Indian weddings are becoming a thing in the South Asian community. Maharani Tina knew that she wanted to switch it up a notch and opted for a non traditional wedding with a twist in palate design. For her sangeet night held at the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hacienda del Mar (perfectly situated in the heart of Cabo), Bridal Henna Beauty was brought on to spearhead all the henna festivities. One of the biggest hurdles of planning a wedding many miles away is securing a reliable and great wedding planner. Destination Desi has planned and designed numerous wedding celebrations and this wedding has certainly not been an exception. The team put together an extensive vendor list that helped Tina’s dream wedding come true. Founder Aimee Monihan has truly made magic in Mexico for this bride! Guests were in for the ultimate in cuisine with the best dishes from around the world catered by Moon Palace. Both Zuniga Deco Design and Blue Petal Destination Weddings returned to ensure that the decorations and the transition from a wedding to reception were seamless. Mexico got the proper Indian wedding treatment in this blockbuster of an event in Cancun! Imagine having your baraat party commence on soft sands, gorgeous waters with the backdrop of the Carribbean Sea. Maharani Chandni exchanged her nuptials with her Maharaja Darshan in the heart of Mexico. Boasting an all-inclusive resort, this wedding felt more like vacation than the hustle and bustle of an Indian destination wedding! The baraat ceremony brought the dhol beach side with the artists at Drums in Paradise steering wedding guests towards the Indian wedding ceremony located at the prestigious resort, Moon Palace. Chandni was a knockout for her Indian wedding nuptials in a red designer bridal lengha embroidered in indicate gold designs with a matching dual dupatta. Hair and makeup was on point as usual with the team from Styling Trio; who added another impressive bride to their portfolio of destination Indian weddings. Blue Petal Weddings ensured that all the festivities went smoothly and took the weight off the bride’s shoulders, planning a successful Indian wedding in Cancun. The mandap, which was perched with gorgeous floral and decor by Zuniga Deco Designs, was the perfect balance of lax and luxury.  At the forefront catching all the coastline magic was photographer Jonathan Cossu with all the fantastic images brimming in the gallery.
