Columbus, OH Indian Wedding by One Fine Day Productions

WASIO Photography first introduced us to today's final couple, Vasvi and Joey, in this collection of captivating images, and today, we have the extreme pleasure of sharing the newlyweds' brilliantly breathtaking Indian wedding film by One Fine Day Productions with you! You'll be swept off of your perfectly mehndi'd feet when you see the amount of absolutely amazing bridal style that Maharani Vasvi delivers. From her gorgeous pre-wedding and reception looks by designer Rupa Vora of Studio East 6, to her beautiful wedding lengha by the talented team of Shyamal & Bhumika, this Indian bride dazzles from beginning to end. The fabulousness doesn't end there though, my dears, oh no. Vasvi and Joey called on the floral and decor experts from Yanni Design Studio to help bring their shaadi dreams to life, and that's exactly what they did. The mandap is a work of art, and the vibrant sangeet decor a Desi wedding dream. We doubt that the Hilton Columbus Downtown will ever see another event quite like this one, and you'll soon agree!

Maharani Vasvi, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Joey:

"Joey and I met through Match.com! We had both been living in Chicago for a while, but hadn't clicked with anyone and decided to give it a try. After emailing back and forth for a bit on the website, we decided to meet in person. Unfortunately, I got sick the day we were supposed to go out on our first date. Even more unfortunate was that this was during the time "catfishing" was becoming popular, so Joey had to ask himself whether or not I was a real person or not. Lucky for me, he decided to reschedule our date (even if it was just out of sheer curiosity to see if I was actually human). Thinking maybe I thought dinner was too intense, he suggested a coffee date.

Joey hated coffee and I did too. I don't even think we drank any of it--but we did spend 3 hours laughing and hanging out in a coffee shop until it shut down. I knew there was something incredibly special about him, and the feeling in my heart knew he was "the one" soon after."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream Indian wedding:

"Spending time with our families, and getting to know each others was my favorite part about wedding planning. I'm Gujarati and my husband is Bengali, so there are definitely similarities and differences in our cultures. It was a lot of fun getting to learn about each others traditions. We joke about how I came to the right family--Bengali's make the best sweets, and I have a huge sweet tooth"

On shopping for her wedding lenghas:

"I spent a lot of time on the internet, and ended up going with something completely different than what I had in mind. The experience was similar to ring shopping--just because it looks good on the screen doesn't necessarily mean it will on your finger! I traveled to India for my wedding lengha and was able to find the perfect one at Shyamal and Bhumika in Ahmedabad! Unfortunately I wasn't able to find my Garba or Reception outfit during my trip. Luckily for me, when I came back home (to Chicago) I learned about Studio East6 and went straight to Rupa Vora for help. She was FANTASTIC, and suggested the perfect outfits for me based off of what I liked and disliked. After just one in person session, I had the perfect floral Garba/Sangeet outfit as well as a stunning cream and gold ensemble for my reception!"

On the best piece of advice she was given for her wedding:

"On Friday night (the first event), one of our family members gave us the perfect piece of advice: find a moment to find a quiet spot for just the two of you, and take in your surroundings.

To see all of our family and friends singing and dancing together to celebrate our love was something I will never forget--it's a memory that makes me smile whenever I think back on that weekend, and I use it now to remember special moments in our lives."

On her and Raja Joey's first dance:

"My husband loves music, and throughout our relationship he has built a Spotify playlist of songs that remind him of us. As we got closer to the wedding we sorted through the playlist for a first dance song. We started out with John Legend's All of Me and The Lumineers Ho Hey, two songs that were always on when we started dating. However, these two songs were so overplayed and used often as first dance songs, so we finally decided against them. During our engagement we started taking dancing classes. We realized quickly that most first dances are not the length of a whole song, but we did not want to cut a song short. So we focused in on songs that are short, and decided on Matt Pond PA's Specks. It worked great for our dance because the song starts slow and picks up after a cool transition, this allowed us to have a cute entrance as a part of our dance."

On her hair and makeup:

"Leigh Ann Ehmann (MakeYouLLC) was my makeup artist, and she worked with me to create the looks for the weekend. She is incredibly talented, and knew exactly how to work with my features so that I stood out without looking way overdone. I looked and felt like the best beautiful version of me!

Amanda Mark (Beauty Mark LLC, Eye Do Hair) was my hair stylist for the events, without her I wouldn't have known what to do with my hair! My favorite hairstyle was the one she helped me come up with on Friday night. I wanted something I would move around in without messing everything up. She helped me create a fun yet elegant ponytail, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted!"

On the role that family and friends played:

"Without the help of our friends and family, our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was! We had a photobooth and we were a little worried that we wouldn't have time to come up with fun ideas--our friends stepped in and delivered with the most amazing props! We also had a lot of help from our families. Joey was having a hard time choosing a car to drive in for the Baraat, and his cousin selflessly offered his amazing ride for the event. Our families also spent a ton of effort into making the pre-wedding events special. They made decorations, helped set up the rooms, and made sure were taken care of all weekend. We're truly grateful to everyone, and hope they know how much it all meant to us."

On her vendors:

"The staff at the Hilton in downtown Columbus was amazing and had everything prepared to a fault (not to mention how beautiful the hotel is in general!). Yanni Designs did a fantastic job, and we can't thank them enough for planning with us in Chicago and then traveling to Columbus to create the mandap and overall designs. A huge thank you to Prema Designs for the floral arrangements as well! Jason Fletcher at Avante Garde Impressions took care of a lot of our paper needs, his work was beautiful. I especially loved our escort cards with the elephants on them! My mehndi was done by Rita Patel and her daughter from Rita's Beauty Care. They not only did my mehndhi and accommodated my requests (I love elephants, and asked them to find a place to fit them in), but also took care of mendhi for my friends and family! They truly did a lovely job. A wedding without great food is a bust. Thankfully, George from Saffron Patch went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was happy and well fed all weekend--people still talk about the food! Our cake was also a huge hit, Sarah Gillespie at The End Dessert was able to create a colorful and fun design in a short amount of time, and we're very grateful to her! Manish Kataria and his team also contributed to creating a fun filled environment all weekend--a huge thank you to them for their hard work in MC/DJ'ing the event (not to mention the dhol playing!). Thank you to One Fine Day Productions and Wasio Photography for capturing all of the beautiful memories of our weekend that we will never forget!"
