Keswick, VA Indian Wedding by Ian’s Creations

Hi Maharanis! We think you'll love today's cheerful and chic wedding film by Ian’s Creations, with photography done by Aaron Watson Photography. Love seemed to emanate from every frame of this film, and we adored the locations, decor, and details that the glowing couple, Anjali & Gopind, chose. The designer and planner for the event, Evelyn Keyes,  worked with the florists and decorators at Couture Design, to create a glamorous event that was the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional. All the included details impressed us - the newlyweds are obviously a very thoughtful twosome, who did a great job of sprinkling special touches throughout the celebrations. A Royal Impression created beautiful stationery for the event, while food from the mouth-watering Bollywood Bistro was served, and decadent desserts from Maliha Creations and Carpe Donut thrilled the guests! The Castle Hill Cider venue was a perfect venue choice for this sophisticated couple. Their ceremony took place outdoors on The Castle Hill Cider's sprawling grounds, with the following reception taking place in the venue's equally beautiful indoor space. The venue was transformed into a twinkling dreamland filled with candles and lush florals, giving the reception a very romantic feel. Anjali looked gorgeous throughout her ceremony and reception in bridal fashions from Studio East6, with intricate mehndi by Henna Harmony, and glamorous hair and makeup by Sapna Desai. We're so happy for this adorable couple and wish them all the best on their new adventure as husband and wife! Watch more from their incredible wedding in the video below!

We hope you loved the film! We'll see you all tomorrow Maharanis!

Phoenix, AZ Indian Wedding by SkyPoint Productions

Every so often, amidst the glitz and glamour of Indian weddings, we come across a love tale that just makes us gush with joy, laughter and tears. Such was the case of Nikhita and Sarang’s wedding celebration that was infused with elements of a Bollywood love tale. With Maharani Nikhita’s ambrosial smile to her twinkling eyes, and Sarang’s sharp looks and stylish flair, it would be hard pressed to convince us that this is love was just as genuine as the words spoken in this cinematic highlight. SkyPoint Productions sought to create a same day edit that captured the essence of what is love and wowed the Editorial team here at Maharani Weddings. The production team managed to construct highlights from the festive and colorful garba, to the sangeet  was a visual delight on its own right down to the outdoor wedding at the Chateau Luxe Gardens. The bride donned multiple designer lenghas that forayed a multitude of different colors. No gorgeous bride would be complete with a makeup master and this Maharani brought on none other than Makiaj Beauty to make her truly feel and look like a Bollywood celebrity! Nikhita’s wedding was the very first wedding to be showcased on the 25,000 square feet garden that was a new addition to the Chateau Luxe Event Venue which was a fond remembrance in itself. Such series of events calls for an extraordinary planner and Event Architects constantly reminds us what fairytale dreams are made of. Each event looked fabulously effortless. At the heart of every Indian wedding remains the love of family and this wedding certainly had no shortage. I can safely declare this to be a timeless love tale that can be replayed over and over simply by pushing play.

The photography stills were captured by LightRain Images and we absolutely cannot wait to feature the wedding in its entirety! See you all tomorrow!

Greensboro, NC Indian Wedding by Memories Films

At Maharani Weddings, we love a Bollywood affair! After all, that is our area of specialization! Brace yourself for this exuberant wedding experience spotlighted in mere minutes by Memories Films for Maharani Payal’s royal affair! At a glance, you may be mesmerized by this gorgeous bride, but it truly is in the details that made our jaw drop. On the forefront of all the grandness you are about to view is K.I. Weddings who has glorified the term luxury galore wedding planning. Honoring the bride’s wish for unifying elements of glamorous and archaic decor, we were stunned as each event handcrafted by Prashe Decor turned over a new theme! Adding the soft glow of a sweetheart stage with each step adorned with a glowing candle is one of my favorite decor inspirations to date! Maharanis take note! The bride herself donned different custom made Indian outfits for her various events that ranged in hues of deep tangerine, mustard yellow to one of our favorite colors of the multifaceted rainbow - emerald green! No Maharani is complete without her glam squad and Belladev Hair and Makeup Artistry, armed with their magical blush brush, primed and prettied Payal to perfection! Taking note of how well the bride carried herself for all her events, it is no surprise that this magical makeup team also draped and the styled our gal of the week in elegancy for all of her celebrations. The venue of choice is none other than the Meridian Convention and Event Center. Grab a cup of chai, put your feet up and hit play! You are going to love this multiplex of a wedding journey! We have a special treat from the bride down below, make sure you take a gander!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

The first time Viral and I met was at a mutual friend's engagement. Although we did not keep in touch then, we happened to see each other again while on a family trip to Charleston, SC and stayed in touch after. We talked for several months and finally met up for an "official" date while I was in South Carolina for work. Viral is a genuinely sweet guy and after seeing him interact with my family and friends I knew I could see him as my husband.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Although I initially had a vision for what I wanted the wedding to be in terms of style and themes, I quickly realized I would need a ton of help putting all my ideas together due to the size of our wedding. Our wedding was truly a labor of love. My parents and siblings were paramount in helping me come up with unique ideas and the rest of my family and friends were there to help execution process. A family member had worked with KI Weddings and I was able to see first hand how helpful it was to have a planning company to help everything come together seamlessly. All of our vendors were incredible to work with and made my dream wedding a reality.

I wanted my family to all compliment each other and match. For the men I made sure that their outfits went well with the ladies in my family which also matched mine. For example, for the satak we all wore green, and it turned out really nice, and we got a lot of compliments about it.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I was lucky enough to be able to go to India twice last year in order to shop for the wedding. Unfortunately, I did not have any luck finding my "dream" lengha at any shop with ready made clothing. My cousin recommended a design studio that she had used for her own wedding and I decided to give it a shot. It worked out perfectly because I was able to choose the fabric, color, pattern and dupatta to my exact specifications.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

I loved planning the details the most. Our Welcome Party was a Bollywood theme so I had old Bollywood movie posters personalized to have our families' faces printed on them and the Groom's table had a custom Bollywood movie printed tablecloth along with bottles of Thumbs Up, Limca and fresh sugarcane juice. For our Reception, we had an aerialist performing during cocktail hour and we had someone to do caricatures of our guests. It was so much fun to come up with these particulars and watching them come to life on the day of.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

I have done a lot of Bollywood dances growing up, and one in particular that I did at a competition saath samundar. I still have the outfit I wore and my niece actually wore that outfit and did the exact same dance as me. The thing that made it even more special was the actual dance I performed was playing in the screen behind her.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

For the ceremony, I knew I always wanted to use a blush pink color scheme. Pink was my late maternal grandmother's favorite color(her name was also Gulab!). I also wore some of her jewelry on the wedding day and incorporated photos of her and my paternal grandparents into my bouquet. It was so important to me to be able to honor them and include them in one of the biggest days of my life.

What a lovely Bollywood affair! We featured this wedding in November in all of its glory, you can check out editorial piece right here with images captured by CB Art Photography and Cinematography! See you tomorrow lovebirds!

Voorhees, NJ, Indian Wedding by Preach Art

Literally and thematically, Meet & Disha’s wedding bash reminded us that we are surrounded by holiday cheer! Preach Art brought this England and US long distance love story to life through a heartwarming wedding trailer, giving us insights into the how-we-met story through a tete-a-tete with the Meet and Disha. We learned through one of the conversations it was Meet’s British accent that when Disha heard over the phone, that made her go “oh boy…dang!” How cute! Their celebrations included a Garba, Sangeet, the ceremony, and reception. The pre-wedding events were like gorgeous Gujarati galas! For the Sangeet, Indian Cultural Center was festooned with colorful, ethnic umbrellas suspended from the ceiling, with splashes of colors because of the Dandiya sticks a
nd the outfits. The couple was dressed in pretty pastel ensembles, in hues of mint and blush pink. The ceremony exuded a festive vibe, with Disha in a traditional red lengha paired with an ornate green blouse, and Meet in a red and gold Sherwani pairing. We loved how Preach Art captured the joy on Meet’s face when he danced away during the Baraat orchestrated by JP Entertainment! Dharma Karma styled our Maharani’s hair in a sleek, pulled-back bun, gave her cheeks a rosy glow, and a bold red lip. The decor brought in a whiff of holiday merriment as well! Nirali Decor enveloped Luciens Manor with towering gathered pastel yellow drapes, and set up an exquisite muted yellow canopy-style mandap with crystal garlands and red flowers. The segue into the reception was creative brilliance by Preach Art, where a neon glow glass was attached to the camera lens, so it was like watching everyone dance through these funky glasses! It looked like the newly weds and their guests didn’t take their dancing shoes off even for a second, thanks to the beats by the DJs from JP Entertainment. Disha gleamed in a gold, stone-embroidered jacket worn over her gold lehenga. All the gold from the outfits, table linens, and the glint from the chandeliers were perfectly offset by the blue lighting in the ballroom at Luciens Manor. This delightful wedding trailer came to a close with a slow motion shot of the couple waltzing and looking so in love, we could cry!

You’ve got to hit play on one of the most romantic, and well-shot wedding trailers we have come across! For more such cinematic marvels, return to the blog tomorrow!

Tucson, AZ, Indian Wedding by Light Rain Images

We live for quintessential Indian weddings with ethnic flourishes, copious amounts of color, and euphoric couples, so Kuntal & Jigar’s, filmed and photographed by Light Rain Images, was right up our alley! Hotel Tucson City Center was the chosen venue for a traditional Pooja, Sangeet, Ceremony as well as the reception. Paying religious attention to details, Light Rain Images gave us generous insights into the rituals during the Pooja, and heartwarming clips of the Haldi ceremony. Kuntal looked like a dream in a yellow sari draped to perfection, with a pearl set with roses embedded adorned her head and neck. I Do Hair and Makeup Artistry ensured that Kuntal’s look was fitting for every occasion, while Dalinas Threading & Skin Care had her Mehendi covered. Balloon Land elevated the venues with their expert event designing, in partnership with Discount Flowers who played with hues of yellow, incorporating pastels and brights through drapery and scattered petals. The Sangeet featured sublime ethnic touches in the form of antique statues of elephants and deities, and Ras Garba. We got a glimpse of Shayona’s Catering through a delectable spread of Indian delicacies that included a variety of Chaat. At the ceremony, Kuntal was an embodiment of the word Maharani, in a heavy brocade lehenga with saffron details, and a lovely bejeweled waist belt. Jigar looked elated during the Baraat orchestrated by Hyper Productions DJ’s, in his embroidered red-and-gold sherwani. Balloon Land enveloped Hotel Tuscon City Center in alternating red and gold drapes. Lavender luminescence coupled with pristine white decor made the ballroom look like a wonderland, where our Alice sashayed down in an exquisitely beaded white gown. The four-day affair came to a close with the reception where guests relished the cake from AJ's Fine Foods, and DJ's from Hyper Productions DJ's spinned away for as long as the wedding party boogied!

With this wedding, we hope your week is off to a vibrant start! Come back tomorrow to savor wedding gorgeousness right here!
