Houston, Texas Indian Wedding by Epique Cinema

We have a darling Indian wedding film celebrating the love of Priya and Chintan and after you hit play, you will fall in love all over again! Our Maharani and her dashing groom are the epitome of true love and have mastered the art of long distance love. We started off with the garba night at the Arabia Shrine. Chintan loves Garba and his kediyus! (Gujarati outfit for men). The groom wanted a modern version of the kediyu tailor made for him from Mumbai that would go well with Priya’s outfit. Dream Decors Design House ensured that the various events were full of so much cultural glam! We especially loved how garden like the garba night was - this is one theme you don't see often in Indian weddings! Glam Team USA ensured that our bride was picture perfect in each frame, and this bride made glam look effortless. Hit play for Epique Cinema's specialized film!  The gallery hosts more pics waiting for your perusal captured by Bella Lumi Photography. We chat with the bride down below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

We met in 2012 in Toronto, Canada when Chintan flew up there for the day to see a childhood friend of his and I happened to be there. We became friends and kept in touch with almost daily skype sessions. We became good friends, but had no romantic feelings for each other or had even brought it up as we just lived too far apart and in two completely different worlds and never did we spend any time together in person. However, as fate would have it Chintan spontaneously decided to fly down to India and I happened to be in Mumbai. We met up and spent some time just exploring the city. It was then, we both realized that our friendship had bloomed into something different altogether. We started dating and the bonus was he got along really well with my family, on top of being caring and supportive. That's when I knew he was "the one".

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

I lived in Toronto and Chintan is from Houston. But he made it a point to come visit me in Toronto every two months or so. Each time he visited we would explore a different part of this city. This time we decided to explore High Park, which is a well-known spot in Toronto for those who enjoy the outdoors. We are strolling through the park taking pictures and making our way to the lake, when we come to a small grotto overlooking the lake. And in the grotto is a lady playing a violin – one of my favorite songs - A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I had no idea Chintan has planned this and I as I was enjoying the song, turn around and Chintan is on his knee with a ring! It was completely unexpected and to top it off, he had gathered some friends and there was a group of tourists that just happen to be passing the spot. Everyone was cheering and I couldn’t contain my surprise, excitement, and tear of Joy.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Being new to Houston, I decided to do some research first. I checked many blogs including Maharani Weddings to get a list of vendors and then set up meetings with each of them to get an idea of their pricing as well as working style. Instagram and Pinterest were my best buddies to narrow down my hair & makeup styles, decor theme and outfit colors. We wanted to play with pastels, floral and candles along with an open mandap setting. Staying within budget was very essential and once I knew which vendors I would go for, I decided to hire an event planner for the day of the event who would make sure everything went by smoothly without having my family or friends run around. This was the best decision I made which made our wedding day so perfect and hassle free.

Two more stops for the wedding and reception are coming right up!

Pittsburgh, PA Indian Wedding by Muskaan Video

Good morning Maharanis! We are thrilled to bring you the festive same day edit of the stylish Hatil and Parag. This lovely twosome held their spirited garba at the Crowne Plaza West-Green Tree and their sophisticated ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Pittsburgh Airport. Muskaan Video did a fabulous job capturing the joyous atmosphere surrounding this union, and, as usual, Divine Celebrations did an incredible job of planning and designing the events! There were SO many stand-out moments that occurred during this wedding weekend - these two are very creative and this wedding was chock full of pizzazz! For instance, this couple's baraat began with a visit from the Pittsburgh Airport Fire Department - so amazing! An enormous yellow fire truck is definitely one of the coolest modes of transportation we could imagine at a baraat! And we are obsessed with Maharani Hatil's looks in the film - her white garba lehenga with geometric beading is so fashion-forward, as is her vibrant red ceremony lehenga and stunning Jimmy Choo heels! Frosted Envy created an incredible cake for the wedding and Bollywood DJ kept the energy high all weekend with their music and lighting. This film ends with Hatil & Parag departing their ceremony in a white horse-drawn carriage that looks like it was plucked out of a fairytale!

We hope you loved the creative and festive union of Hatil & Parag! We'll see you tomorrow Maharanis!

Tucson, AZ, Indian Wedding by Light Rain Images

We live for quintessential Indian weddings with ethnic flourishes, copious amounts of color, and euphoric couples, so Kuntal & Jigar’s, filmed and photographed by Light Rain Images, was right up our alley! Hotel Tucson City Center was the chosen venue for a traditional Pooja, Sangeet, Ceremony as well as the reception. Paying religious attention to details, Light Rain Images gave us generous insights into the rituals during the Pooja, and heartwarming clips of the Haldi ceremony. Kuntal looked like a dream in a yellow sari draped to perfection, with a pearl set with roses embedded adorned her head and neck. I Do Hair and Makeup Artistry ensured that Kuntal’s look was fitting for every occasion, while Dalinas Threading & Skin Care had her Mehendi covered. Balloon Land elevated the venues with their expert event designing, in partnership with Discount Flowers who played with hues of yellow, incorporating pastels and brights through drapery and scattered petals. The Sangeet featured sublime ethnic touches in the form of antique statues of elephants and deities, and Ras Garba. We got a glimpse of Shayona’s Catering through a delectable spread of Indian delicacies that included a variety of Chaat. At the ceremony, Kuntal was an embodiment of the word Maharani, in a heavy brocade lehenga with saffron details, and a lovely bejeweled waist belt. Jigar looked elated during the Baraat orchestrated by Hyper Productions DJ’s, in his embroidered red-and-gold sherwani. Balloon Land enveloped Hotel Tuscon City Center in alternating red and gold drapes. Lavender luminescence coupled with pristine white decor made the ballroom look like a wonderland, where our Alice sashayed down in an exquisitely beaded white gown. The four-day affair came to a close with the reception where guests relished the cake from AJ's Fine Foods, and DJ's from Hyper Productions DJ's spinned away for as long as the wedding party boogied!

With this wedding, we hope your week is off to a vibrant start! Come back tomorrow to savor wedding gorgeousness right here!
