USA and Canada Indian Wedding by Cineverse

Happy Monday Maharanis! We hope that this post finds you well and you are inspired and motivated as you power through your work day as you check off all your accomplishments on this gorgeous Monday! If you haven’t had a chance, click here to view our 2016 Unforgettable List Magazine. The entire E-Zine is jam packed with ideas, vendors, and of course some real Indian weddings that we are just so proud of. We absolutely loved Akshi and Amit’s wedding bash shot by Gurminder Banga of Banga Studios! However, today’s treat is a visual one captured by Cineverse, and we cannot wait until you hit play and view all the romantic details yourself. Make-up by Sonia I beautified the bride for her events in U.S. and as you can tell Akshi looks absolutely stunning in every single clip. One of the elements that stood out to us the most is the impeccable decor at all the venues and the varying ceremonies. No shock here when The Moments Events is involved. This stellar design team has been making brides and venues happy for years. With the attention to detail and creative drive, every wedding they touch is transformed into royalty. Guests were treated to succulent cuisine from Bollywood Bistro for the series of events. So, hit play and revel in Akshi’s special day. You may just come away some ideas of your own!

We hope you enjoyed this gorgeous celebration of Akshi and Amit. See you tomorrow lovies!

Queens, NY Indian Fusion Wedding by Events Capture

Wow - we have a beautiful whirlwind of a wedding film for you today, created by Events Capture! This feisty couple planned their wedding over a two year period, brainstorming creative details together, and assembling an all-star team of vendors - the final results are unbelievable! The video shows that Melinee and Karmvir's wedding was a sumptuous feast for the eyes. Every detail was designed and planned to utter perfection by Exclusive Events NY. The quick-on-their-feet couple (who organized their reception to ensure they had at least three solid three hours of dance time to music by DJUSA) were so playful and adorable with each other during the weekend - We were utterly swept up in their love story while watching the film! Maharani Melinee was such a radiant bride, adorned in fashions by Armaans Bridal and Lotus Bazaar, with superstar glam makeup by Beauty by TamannaMelinee has some incredible words of wisdom that's we'll close with: "Always remember how you felt the day of your wedding. Take that feeling and always bring joy and laughter into your home. A happy marriage is a balancing act of meeting your own needs and each other’s needs. Learn to listen, be present in the moment, and think before you speak, but don’t lose your sense of self in the process of giving." So well said! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

I met my husband while I was in college. I was sitting around with a group of friends and he boldly came over and introduced himself to me. We started laughing and talking and eventually our 3 year friendship bloomed into something much more. The moment I knew he was the one was when I took him home to meet my family and they instantly were attached. It felt so natural and it was as if they'd known each other for years. The light he brings into my life, with never ending support and love, is something I can hold onto forever and I know, without a doubt, that he is truly the one.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Every proposal is magical, however our proposal is my favorite. We went weeks without a date and I asked him many times to see Central Park with me. One day he randomly called me and said "let's go to Central Park, I have an event for my job later on that evening and we can hang out beforehand." Excited, I sprung up and got ready and he picked me up an hour later. We explored Central Park and ended up going to a restaurant named The Boat House. He told me he had a surprise for me, and walked me outside, to the back of the restaurant.

There was a Gondola waiting for us and the gondolier was ready to take us for a ride. The lake was beautiful and empty. I was enjoying the ride and pointing out landmarks I used to study near during my college years. Soon, ahead of us was this gorgeous marble bridge. As we passed underneath, my husband began to move and got on one knee and asked "Would you marry me?" I had absolutely no idea what was happening. I was in complete and utter shock until a lady on the bridge was screaming "OH MY GOD, HE IS PROPOSING!! JUST SAY 'YES' JUST SAY 'YES'" Frantically waking up from shock, I shook my head "Yes" and began to tear up. Amazingly, all of this was caught on camera. He hired a professional to capture all of our moments leading up to the proposal.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We had a two year engagement. We took our time and steadily paced booking all of our vendors. Three of the main key vendors we booked right away were the venues, the DJ, and the makeup artist. We liked that it was spaced, we did not feel rushed at any moment. Everyone we worked with were extremely professional and great at what they do. We had complete faith in them and everything came out great.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

Everyone I loved and held dear to my heart chose the outfits I wore. I am naturally not a picky person so I left it up to faith. It felt more special that way knowing my loved ones were involved and each outfit holds a amazing memory and story.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part of the planning process was the "do it yourself" projects. It was a way to reflect our own personalities into our wedding in a crafty way. Seeing every idea come together at the end made all of the effort involved worth it!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

From all the compliments we received from our wedding, I have to say the words that stood out most is "I loved to see the different cultural traditions involved, I loved how happy and fun you two were during the ceremonies, and I absolutely loved the music!" My husband and I love to dance and had a great time. On our reception day, we made sure that we could get at least three full hours of solid dance time.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

I remember walking up the aisle towards the Mandap of the Hindu wedding and seeing my husband looking at me when he suddenly winked. I was so shy and excited to commence the ceremony. During the ceremony, he flirted with me the entire time and we ended up laughing so much.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Plan and organize well for your upcoming day and do not stress the little things. Enjoy your day and smile knowing you'll be marrying your soulmate. Always remember how you felt the day of your wedding. Take that feeling and always bring joy and laughter into your home. A happy marriage is a balancing act of meeting your own needs and each other’s needs. Learn to listen, be present in the moment, and think before you speak, but don’t lose your sense of self in the process of giving.

We seriously think that's some of the best advice we've ever heard! All the best to Melinee & Karmvir - We're so happy for them!

CA Sikh Wedding by Robles Video Productions

We're reveling in this gorgeous wedding film by Robles Video Productions featuring beautifully sweeping shots, cinematic edits, and the inclusion of the most special details. The film begins with the stunning couple getting ready for their royal affair. Lucky, a total fashionista, adorned herself in impeccably curated accessories, including glittering jewelry, a delicate maang tikka, and the most covetable Christian Louboutins ever. She embodied the perfect bride from her perfectly done makeup and hair by the always impeccable Dolled up by Lulu, to the top of her perfectly manicured nails. We also love that she chose the atypical color combo of blue and red-orange (which matched handsome Jasveen's sherwani perfectly!) for her special day. Seriously, all you brides-to-be need to watch this video to take bridal inspiration from Lucky's perfect look! The baraat outside the Riverside Gurdwara looked incredible joyful, and the couple's guests definitely have some smooth moves! Their traditional ceremony honored the couple's Sikh heritage, and featured sounds by Sandeep Kumar, decor by Carla Flores, and coordination by Lisa Simpson. We can't wait to see the photographs captured by Frank Salas PhotographyHere at Maharani weddings, we've seen couples depart their ceremony by many creative modes of transportation  - However most types of transport remain firmly on the ground. Lucky and Jasveen instead departed their ceremony in the most lavish of ways - by air in a helicopter - to meet their guests at the Temecula Winery, followed the next day with their reception at the Hilton San Diego BayFront. Watch the video below for more magnificence from Lucky and Jasveen's extravagant festivities!

Excuse us while we go watch that film again! See you on Monday Maharanis!

Orange County, CA Indian Wedding by Aaroneye Photography

Dear Maharanis, on this Valentine’s Day we’ve chosen to share Kiran & Dhaarak’s wedding film by Aaroneye Photography, since we feel it personifies romance perfectly! This film did a fantastic job of capturing the couple’s deep love and incredible style. Every aspect of the wedding, held at the Wyndham Anaheim, was planned and decorated beautifully by Deepti’s Floral Designs and Mandaps and Synx Events. The excited groom began his baraat in a sleek white convertible surrounded by his joyous guests, with infectious beats provided by Riamu Entertainment. We loved witnessing this baraat, since the energy of the groom, guests, and music seemed to radiate off the screen! Maharani Kiran was breathtaking throughout the festivities in a variety of vibrantly-hued bridal ensembles, with hair and makeup expertly done by Dolled up by Lulu. As Kiran glided down the red-carpeted aisle, she truly looked like a queen in a richly embroidered red lehenga, ornate gold jewelry, a stunning maang tikka, and elaborate gold hand pieces. Their incredibly rich mandap, decorated by Deepti’s Floral and Synx Events, included magnificent golden columns, pink and coral draping, and lush florals. Kiran and Dhaarak looked elated when they were finally announced as husband and wife, and guests celebrated their union by cheering and tossing rose petals at the gorgeous, newly-married couple! The film concludes with Kiran and Dhaarak dancing expertly at their reception as guests were treated to a decadent dinner by Rasraj and dessert by Amazing Cake Creations. Every moment was captured beautifully by Lin & Jirsa Photography, and we cannot wait to see all the photos from the weekend, since this wedding was truly a feast for the eyes! Click play below to watch scenes from this dreamy wedding!

We hope you enjoyed this lovely film! We'll see you all tomorrow!
