Sweeties, if a wedding were to be called the epitome of elegance and romance, it would be the union of Rhea & Frank. Park Château Estate's magnificence was the perfect setup for this wedding. Thanks to the meticulous planning and design by the incomparable Elizabeth Marino, each moment unfurled seamlessly, revealing one magical detail after another. Anderson Flowers and MDL transformed the space with their lavish floral and décor, enveloping the venue in an ethereal blanket of roses, orchids, and lilies. Thanks to the exceptional skills of Makeup by Anita, our bride Rhea looked nothing short of a Maharani, with every strand of her hair and every brush of makeup epitomizing the grace and elegance that she exudes. DJ Sunny Parekh and Kurani Studios perfectly captured the rhythm of love that pulsed throughout the evening. And speaking of memories, the magic of the day was brilliantly encapsulated by the keen eye of Studio KSD. Their cinematography was more than just videography; it was storytelling, capturing the essence of their love story in a way words would never suffice.

The last stop on today’s featured journey ends at The Carson Center where DJ Vikas Sondhi of Opening Minds Entertainment began setting up the sound system for the night. The bride slipped into a magical teal green and gold flowing anarkali after being dolled up by her makeup artists and hair beautician.  Hair was kept flowing and carefree with a glowing makeup to tote. The expansive ballroom was overflowing with luxurious elements. A romantic sweetheart was set up complete with soft cotton draperies, candle lights, and a cornucopia of fresh flowers in various arrays of color sat on each side of the chaise. A gorgeous gold mehndi cake baked by Artisan Kitchen sat gallantly on a table of its own. Guests dined on cuisine from The Clay Pit Indian Cuisine as Veda Films cruised the spacious quarters capturing all the live action. Red Umbrella has once again been instrumental in the wedding game and designed the perfect ending to a fab weekend! Now that Mili and Prakhar have made it official, it's time to celebrate their unforgettable Indian wedding with a reception to remember, and their DJ from Dhoom Events is on site at the Oheka Castle to make sure they do it in style! The newlyweds called on the chef de cuisine from Moghul Caterers to create a mouthwatering menu of catered fare for their lucky guests, and Elegant Affairs dressed the party space from top to bottom in the most exquisite floral and decor work. Maharani Mili has switched gears and swapped her stunning bridal lengha for an equally incredible white and gold post-ceremony ensemble that had her looking like a million bucks, especially after her hair and makeup were expertly styled by Dharma Karma! The talented photographers from STAK Studios managed to snap up all of these divine details, plus many more, and you can see them all in the complete gallery!

Maharani Mili, on the role family and friends played:

"Since we were both busy with school and residency (plus, I was out of town), our parents really stepped to the plate and did a LOT of work. They missed work to attend vendor meetings, dealt with the headache of scheduling/followup, coordinated all of the catering, etc. Thank god that they were able to take on so much of it. I honestly don't know how Prakhar and I would have done it on our own."

Additional thoughts from the bride:

"A big part of the wedding was that we wanted people to still see us and our personalities under all of the makeup and the clothes and the traditions. We tried to inject fun into every element that we could. Some examples are: we made our own signs with our favorite lyrics as props for the photo booth, my father-daughter dance was a choreographed dance to Party Rock, we made our own reception programs using Photoshop and our wedding website (www.pramili.com), my friends and cousins did a rap for us instead of speeches, we had a slow-motion video booth, and the list goes on. Seeing our personality come through in the wedding made the day even more special for us"

The truly talented team from Elegant Affairs has created an outdoor Desi dream with rustically elegant floral and decor details for Mili and Prakhar's Indian wedding ceremony at the Oheka Castle, and every element has stolen our hearts! The photo pros from STAK Studios captured these highlights from the Indian bride and groom's vow exchange, where they stood under a romantic mandap decked in white fabric, purple flowers and of course, a chandelier! The venue's sprawling and perfectly manicured grounds made for the most luxurious backdrop as the happy couple said their I dos, and we can't wait for you to see the post-ceremony soirée that followed, because Dhoom Events promises one simply unforgettable celebration. Maharani Mili, on her wedding style:

"Our wedding style was a little difficult to figure out. Our parents wanted an opulent and lavish Indian wedding, but Prakhar and I wanted something that was more rustic (farm tables, wine barrels, etc.). Oheka served as the perfect venue for us to get the opulence, while still being able to carry through the rustic vibe we wanted. Additionally, we decided to do two looks to make everyone's vision come through. The Sangeet was a more traditional look since we had the Sangeet in a banquet hall at Hilton Long Island, and the wedding day had a rustic flair. I wanted to find a look that complemented Oheka, and Oheka was so beautiful on it's on that we didn't need to go crazy with decor. We decided on a floral mandap rather than fabric to complement the gardens, but I wanted the mandap look to be a little messy. We worked with Elegant Affairs, and each time we went in to see them I would say "let's go a bit messier." I wanted something that looked natural, yet still beautiful. Purple is my favorite color, so we asked them to do purple and white flowers for the mandap and entrance archway, and then for the evening we asked them to mix in other pops of color (greens, hot pink, etc) to carry over the garden theme to the ballroom. One of my favorite design elements was the outdoor cocktail hour area. We brought in farmers tables to set up wine tasting & craft beer tasting stations and then scattered wine barrels around the lawn for people to use as cocktail tables. For seating, Elegant Affairs created these white fabric benches that added a laid back/comfortable, yet sophisticated element to the whole look. I was so worried that it would rain and we would have to scratch this whole idea, but it turned out to be a beautiful area where our guests could enjoy a drink while watching the sunset over the Long Island Sound."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"I'm not going to lie, wedding planning is exhausting, and planning an Indian wedding with an endless number of events is even more exhausting. I was in Boston for the first year of my MBA program, and my husband was in New York in his first year of residency. The most enjoyable moments of planning the wedding were just being together and working together as a team to make sure our most important wants and needs came through on the wedding day."

On one of her most memorable wedding day moments:

"One moment that I loved was during our vidaai, Prakhar and I got into the car and blasted the radio as we drove away, while I totally rocked out in the passenger seats. The song that was playing was "Bitch Better Have My Money," by Rihanna. Needless to say, the aunties were not enthused, but we had a blast."

It's high time we introduced you to Raja Prakhar and his marry band of groomsmen, who are ready to hit the baraat with serious style! STAK Studios captured these highlights from the groom's pre-wedding ceremony, and you'll be blown away by all the enchanting details. Today's Prince Charming is rocking a dashing ensemble that complements his Indian bride-to-be's red and gold wedding lengha, and his bestest pals are stylin' in their tricolored attire.
