It's time to put on your dancing shoes and get the party started! Sharmeen and Nafiz’s Valima at the exceptional Lombardos’ was an event to remember for a lifetime. And it will surely be remembered thanks to Sunghye Jung Videography who shot a breathtaking film of the wedding sequence that will make you feel like one of the guests! We had the pleasure of featuring this video and you can watch it here! The new husband and wife made their grand entrance in the reception hall reflecting their best personal style. Groom Nafiz in a black tux and Sharmeen in a decadent black embroidered anarkali suit that seriously blew my mind! Alankar Décor executed to perfection an elaborated white theme décor, the wedding loveseats were worthy of royalty and the blush pink roses with white florals on top of the luxurious stage provided a heavenly experience to the whole scene! What is a wedding without crazy amounts of food? The smart couple trusted their celebration menu to Sagar’s catering who delivered an outstanding service with a variety of great traditional dishes that delighted every palate! I am positive it will keep the guests talking about it for a long time! Go ahead to the gallery and take a glimpse into more remarkable images by Azeem Baig Photography

Have an awesome weekend, Beauties!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through a mutual friend, who kept saying that we would be a good match for one another.  It took us a couple of tries to connect, but when it happened, it happened quickly! We like to say a lot of things fell in place - everything came to us at the right time. We had lived in the same city for two years and had never met. The mutual friend and I also met in a very unique set of circumstances - I had come to Boston for a social enterprise competition and met her there through my teammate.
In terms of being the "one," there was no single moment, but from the beginning, he would do what he say he would do. His verbal integrity was key for us. So important, ladies!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
For me, it was really about organization. I had many friends who had gotten married and I asked them questions about who they had used and what they wish they had done differently. I went to a Shaadi Showcase with my mom and that was very helpful in checking out vendors. Some friends were super helpful in giving me planning worksheets. Excel is your friend!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was planning out the decorations and envisioning how they would look. Also liked picking out songs. Also liked working with my friends and the excitement of the surprise of what they were going to put together.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The food! We had three different types of food at each event.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Organization is key. Try to be early on booking vendors, etc.
